Here I go again!!
This is my 2 1/2 times going through the approval process. Well let me say the first time I went, I went thorugh St.V's and Christopher Evanson, I was approved and had a surgery date then I freaked out and cancelled!
The second time I went to Dr.Ditslear after a great referrel and Community North. I went through the process until they continued to lose my paperwork, psyc eval and all kinds of other issues with the staff there. It was a nightmare....
I now am still seeing Dr.Ditslear through the Clarian Bariatric Center. So far so good! The office staff is AWESOME and Dr. Ditslear is still great (always has been.)
Basically, I am looking for some advice on how to get and keep the process rolling. Also, I would love to hear some stories from Happy Campers who are on the other side of WLS and maybe even had Dr.D.
Thank you,
I am so glad to have this forum.

Well I had my RNY through Community North with NO problems! I am sorry to hear that you did not have such a good outcome, though! I had Dr. Nigh, and have had NO problems or complications as of yet and I am working on my 9th month. I am the spotlight patient with the Community North office for the month of August, that was exciting for me, I would've never thought that I would be a spotlight patient!!!! This has been an amazing journey for me, I wish you the best! I have heard alot of great things about Dr. D and he has came by to visit at groups before, he is awesome- GOOD LUCK, hope you are on the losers bench soon! Hugz Dawn
I know how you feel... 6 years ago I was talking to my sister and told her I was going to get my stomach cut off... I even started filling out the paperwork.. THEN I freaked...backed out..
MY sister had the surgery 5 years ago and has gone from a size 28 to a 12 and she is 4'10" she was round!!! And even though I was sooo happy for her I wasnt ready.
Then April 26, 2005 I walked into the operating table and gave my life to God and Dr Cacucci... I haven't regretted one day. I would do it again tommorrow and start all over again with the yellow sheet,,, I have my good days and my bad days but every day is a better day than before surgery because I have hope and I have a future and I am not going to die being FAT.. sorry so blunt but that is what I was...
I will support your decision.. what ever it is... but I wish for you the very best life has to offer... and honestly I think surgery gives us the best chance... we have tried it all before...
