REJECT OR APPROVED

Laura: What sort of 'reccommedations'? I already called the physc last Thursday I talked to a year ago in October. I was off medication for over a year and the hormones went amuck along with stress of my hubby leaving for the Middle East! Anyways, I thought I would cover all the bases by seeing him so he could give me an 'approval', as he knows me the best! Who better to make a reccommendation? Our company also offers bariatric surgery, is TriCare contracted, BUT, the surgeon doesn't (won't if he's not made to!.) accept TriCare patients! I know that is all wrong and I'm sure I could have him do my surgery, but I don't want anyone 'forced' into doing anything! When was your inital consult and how long did it take for you to receive a letter from St. V's? How did the lil nerd make you feel during your session with him? My main feelings were: "I'm almost 44, what is past is past, I've gone on and am a functional adult as well as a productive one in society!" Only thought it, but didn't say it! Thanks for the encouragement. Just because I take an anti-depressant doesn't mean I'm weak and cannot make a stand for myself. I bet your really excited! Thanks for your response and hope to continue to keep in touch! Jl

I would think that being on an anti depressent is fairly normal when you become obese. I would venture a guess that more people are on one than not. Best of luck to you. Tess:-)

Thank you for you input Tess. There's many people that aren't obese that are on anti-depressants........ I'm blunt and honest.....I have always believed that if something is going to help you to feel better........than do it! There's no shame in a healthy mind or body!! The shame is when you DO NOT help yourself and admit that there IS a problem! Jl
