Dr. Dana Lindsay

Hello All... My fiance and I are taking steps toward the RNY. We've been to the Seminar, are educated on the surgery and healing process. We've decided to commit to the lifestyle change. I just wanted to find a place where I could talk to other people in various stages of WLS and hear their stories! Looks like this is the place! So if anyone here has had experience (good, or bad) with Dr. Dana Lindsay (Johnson Memorial Franklin, IN), I would like to hear from you!! Also, if you have Anthem insurance, out of Indiana, If you ran into any problems along the approval process. I look forward to learning more from everyone! Thanks!! :wave: Sarah

I didnt have Dr. Lindsey but i have heard that she is awsome. I have friends who have had her and say she is very nice, warm and has a very true concern for her patients . I dont think you could go wrong with her. I did have anthem of Indiana and was approved within 4 days. they were great... Good luck to you and your fiance. Carla

Thanks, I appreciate all the input I get! You know, the more I hear about the staff at Johnson Memorial, the more confident I feel about having the procedure! Anthem has been making it difficult for us to complete the 6 month diet program they require... they actually want our doctors to prescribe diet pills as a condition to recieve the approval. Strange and a little unsafe, don't you think? My doctor refused, outright. She says it could be harmful if taken with my current medications. When we talked with Anthem about it, we were told "...switch doctors." I hope we don't have to go through the whole process fighting the insurance company..... Did you run into this with Anthem?
