Quick update..
Hey all!
Dawn..thank you for letting everyone know how I was doing Friday.
The surgery went fine and I went home in no pain. That lasted till yesterday ~noon. I now count the minutes till I can take the loratab. I borrowed my son's crutches so I don't have to put that boot on each time to go potty, and that has helped some. The pressure of it realy hurts...but then, so does the pressure of th eice packs. This is the first time I've wandered into the computer room. I doubt if I do very often till the pain level goes down some.
I read some of the posts that's been up. Ladies...ketosis is NOT a good thing. If you have the yucky taste in your mouth, contact your nutritionist. She'll have you do either gator-ade or grape juice for a few days to get your carb count up where it should be. You see, if you don't have carbs to burn, your body starts burning muscle tissue. You DON'T want that. Low carbs is good...low enough carbs to go into ketosis and start burning good muscle tissue is bad. I know some places say that ketosis is good..but talk to your nut..they'll tell you otherwise. The one's at St. V's will anyway. That's my 'words of wisdom' for today...lol.
I'll get on when I can. Remember, if you'd like to talk, I'm a phone call away!!
Huggs!
