How Did It Go????

Hey Folks, Update on my first area meeting. Unfornuately I'm unable to say there was a good turn out. It was just myself. I'm a little bummed out and disappointed but I also let myself be realistic in that this could be a big possiblity of happening. BUT I'm NOT giving up. Aug 31st is the next meeting date. It's also my bandiversary. I'm gonna work on until then getting the word out about the meetings. I want to thank each and every one of you who posted wishing me good luck or gave me words of encouragement when I discussed this at the clothing exchange. Everyone's ever changing lives have inspired me and I know that I can make this Peer Support Group happen for my area. Thanks Everyone Jodi

Sweetie I am so sorry there was no one to show for your support group. Hang in there ...I think it is wonderful for your to take the initative to start a local group. It will come just be patient. If it wern't during the week and so far I would come myself! You look Wonderful too!!! HUGS! Marianne

the weekday ones are hard for me as well, i havent made it to a sing St v's group meeting even hehehe. Hugs for the disapointing turn out though. I'd try to make the next one, but the 31st is my birthday, and I think my hubby has plans for us (at least if he doesn't already, he'd better by then!) I sure hope you have more at the next meeting!

The lady I walked with on Monday had thought about going but she works until 6.. It is very hard for her to get to places after work.. she had also had an important Drs appointment she couldnt miss...She is from Pittsboro.. Linda

Sorry you didn't have a good turnout. I will do my best to be at the next one. I get off at 5:00 on Thursdays but 6:00 on Fridays.

Hey Gal, Don't be too dissapointed- it will fly soon! Just hang in there & keep getting the word out. Call St. V's Bariatric & let them know what you are trying to acccomplish. They might be able to help- just a thought. I wish you all the best. Ellen
