I'm here, I'm there, & I'm everywhere?

Hi Everyone! We have been gone on a long vacation to Minn. & Iowa. It was wonderful- full of 1st's for me. First time wearing my bathing suit & swimming in a lake- since I was a kid! First time walking a moderatley rough 5 k trail walk. First vacation with my daughter & son-in-law. First time to see fireworks 4 nights in a row, & catch more fish than the men! First time to not want to eat -eat-eat!!! Instead-I want to PLAY~PLAY~ PLAY!!! I did read 5 books, too! I went to my Drs. & I have lost 96# so far, in 9 months. I am so happy to be able to have positive results when I go now, instead of " you need to loose some weight". I can even get into size 14's!!! I hated to miss the Clothing Exchange but~my Sis-in-law has Ovarian Cancer, & we have spent the past 13 days at St. Vincents since I have been back. She is 59 & will have to have 13 weeks of chemo. They are having a problem getting her to be able to keep anything down;low blood pressure & passing out; & has had 3 blood trans. so far. Her hubby & family are all doing pretty good, & I would appreciate your prayers for them all. Hope to get back on here , I have missed you all! ((((HUGS)))) Ellen

Oh, I forgot the thing that almost stopped our vacation- I had a collision on Fri. right before we were to leave that TOTALED MY CAR! Luckly I was only bumped & badly bruised up. I had to go to the emergency room & have 7 x-rays done. Thankfully the other person didn't get hurt. We found a replacement car this past Fri. but it just isn't the same- my other one was paid for! AHH Ellen!! That is a shame.. I do not look forward to replacing my car in the future.. I have grown attached to her... I have missed you too!!! glad to hear you were on vacation...and actually enjoying yourself.. Sorry to hear about sis in law...sometimes it just hits to close to home!! Linda

Ellen, Welcome back! I think you'll see that we've had lots of new people here. It's so exciting having so many new post-ops all the time! LOL! Since I'm past that honeymoon stage, I love seeing the posts that they lost so much in such a short time. I think I need an extended vacation (don't we all??)! Every time I take just a week off, I get bombarded when I come back. Ah well, that's job security. Besides, don't want no car wrecks! Since I drive a Dodge Durango, it'd have to be a pretty big boy to total me...and I'm afraid that would cause some serious damage to me as well. So...guess I better stick close to home (for now!). Looking forward to seeing you on here more often! Sherri
