I was having and getting no where with my insurance, due to my insurance requiring that the hospital have the COE. I now have Dr Douglas Kadeabk and will be going to St Vincent's Carmel. This change was not a easy one to make, I did a lot of homework. After taking with my PCP, we agreed I needed to make change if I wanted to embark on my journey to WLS. I attend my 2nd support meeting, but this one will with St Vincents group. I have so busy trying to get everything ready for my transfer, I have made so many calls , the phone and my cell phone was ringing that the same time LOL. Well, wish me luck for my meeting tonight. Hugs and Blessings,Gail

Good luck! Sometimes we gotta do things we don't want to to get this surgery. Wi**** wasn't that way, but in the end, you'll be so happy you did it! I don't really know anything about the doctor you've choisen, but I am a firm beilever that things happen for a reason. Good luck Sweetie, hopefully your time will be here sooner than later!

Hope everything works out for you! How was your group there tonight? I agree with Darrah, everything happens for a reason. Sometimes it will through us for a loop and be some route we never thought we would have taken, but in the end everything seems to work out for us. Hopefully you are now on your hourney and just had a little "curve"- I have had some "bumps" in mine as well as so many of us, so a little curve every now and then is bound to happen too. Hopefully you will hear the news you have been waiting for- looking forward to hearing what you find out, keep us posted! Hugz Dawn

The support group was very interesting and fun I always try to learn, listen and laugh. My daughter went with me for support and most of all she is my ride!! Two folks are ready for surgery, 1 in morning and 1 on Monday. We shared a lot reguarding pain and our own pain level. And, a lot talk of some people being taken off a lot of meds right after surgery. That woukd great for me, I take so many meds, they are like a small meal. Also we talked and shared feelings re: giving ourself our injections, Me , big fear of needles, Big. Well in the morning back to my phones. Thanks everyone for the support and I am so happy I was able to get my shot in the knee last week cause this 50year old has a lot do before next Tuesday. Hugs to all, Gail

Gail, I don't know anything about Dr. Kadeabk, but you will absolutely love St. Vincent's. When you go to the support meetings, target for the 2nd one of the month. The first one of the month is extremely crowded, so you'd get more out of the 2nd one. Sherri
