Well I woke up from nightmares and Its not the first time since Ive had surgery that this is happening. Then I got an email that a kid I graduated with has died...kinda weird since Im back home in OHIO and everyday this week I read the Obits except yesterday...was to busy looking at all the stores sale ads... so I missed it. So back to the nightmares. Pre surgery I never remembered my dreams. I know they say everyone does....but I would have bet money I didnt. Except the few times in my adult life that Ive been on drugs...ie, Lortab....I have nightmares. Well it started after surgery when I was on the dilauted and I havent even had Lortab for a week now and Im still having crazy dreams and nightmares. Did anyone else have this or know what I can do to stop it. Is it from my diet or anything else?????? Help me...I have to go home tomorrow and I'll be alone...I dont want to be having these crazy nightmares...they are freaking me out now...much less when Im all alone. Mariah Oh yeah...annoyinglizard spruced up my profile and she did an awesome job...Now I have to update my blogs. Havent taken the time to do that since surgery ...but I have it all in my journal.

The few times I took my Loratab to close to bed time I had some crazy dreams... try taking it earlier... make sure you measure too and dont take to much... I do think that was my problem the few times I had freaky dreams... Good luck... I hate scarey dreams... even IF Ron is laying right next to me. Linda

Mariah, Dreams & nightmares are our mind's way of working out things that we either can't or don't want to work out while we are awake. Since you've been off the Lortab for a week, your subconsious may be working on helping you to face any subconcious fears you may have about what your life will be like without the extra weight. You have started a journey into the unknown. What will life be like with the weight gone? Will I be able to maintain the loss or will this be like all of the other times I've lost weight only to regain it plus more? Will people like me the same? better? less? If not the same, why not? I'm still the same person inside. You may not have thought any of these thoughts conciously, but some of them may be sneaking around in your subconcious. Try to relax about the nightmares. They are no fun, but they are just dreams. I teach my children to control theirs by thinking about how they could handle whatever happenned in the dream (i.e. my 5 year old kept dreaming that a monster was chasing her. I told her to turn around and tell him that he had to go away, it was her dream and she could make him leave. We had this discussion a couple of times and then she quit having the bad dreams.). I'm sure you will begin resting better soon. You have started down an exciting new path and although it has the occasional hill, all in all it is a great walk! Cindy
