Morning Friend, Sorry I havent posted for a few days but Im still at my parents and for some reason the wi fi system around here has been down so I cant get on often or for long or I hold up my parents phone lines. So I'll be back to normal as soon as I go home. Which will be soon. Im doing great and Im just soaking up all this attention...lol. No one takes care of you like your mommy....LOL Acutally, I just get very boarded at home all alone when Andys gone all week. It so much nicer here in Ohio with all my family and friends.... And they have a big pool here too. So Ive been getting lots of exercise and having lots to do. Every since my drain was removed on Monday I havent had any pain. For about 2 days I had to keep the drain hole cleaned a couple of times a day. Then I just did it once a day and starting today Im gonna try leaving it open to air. Im pretty much back to doing anything I could do before surgery. Somethings I even do better....like walking farther and touching my toes now...I can even put my socks on all by myslelf.... Dr said I could go back to work this coming week....I asked her if she was nuts.... I wanted an extended vacation...maybe the summer off. Then I suggested at least 6 weeks.... she said she would give me 4 off. Now Im not so sure if I like her anymore..lol I hope u all are having a great weekend. The tempature was great here on Sat. Nice and a cool 79 or so degrees. I could live with that for the rest of the summer. I talked to Andy just min ago and He said its scorching out in LA. That he couldnt sleep all evening...Hes at work now I guess and pretty tired. Since our apt is right on the Ocean he said there were hoards of ppl outside all day too. That has to make it even harder to sleep. I think Im gonna wait about 3 months before I go back out there and hopefully all the neighbors wont recognize me....I'll be getting calls saying andys having an affair....Since I got 9 inches cut off my hair and changed its color and maybe can have a 100 lbs or more gone by then....LOL Well I wont bore u anymore. When I get home tonight or tomorrow I can update everyone on my wt loss. Since Im the only one in my family with scales that can weight my ever shrinking but none the less lard butt. Mariah

Hehehe Be glad she gave you four weeks. Dr. Cacucci's nurse told me the max without complications she gives off is three weeks. But since I got fired for having surgery anyway, it didn't really matter. Getting that drain removed made all the difference in the WORLD to me. I was SO happy when it came out! I joined the YMCA with my sister in law this week and went for the first time yesterday. I kind of expected the Y to be ran down and oldm and that they wouldn't have updated their equipment since the Village People's YMCA song left the Billboard top 40. B ut I was pleasantly surprised. It's really nice. We also got some information on some haunted walking tours in indy and surrounding areas we were thinking about checking out. I think it'd be great to do around mid september. Indiana doesn't have much to offer, but the one thing I love about it is the fall folliage. I thought about seeing if anyone here was interested in going, maybe we can make a saturday out of it. Well time's a wasting, and I need to get to the Y for my workout!

Good Morning Mariah Glad to hear you are doing so well. I am even starting to feel a lot better now myself. Since I went back to the liquid multivitamins, the B-6 and B-100, and eating a bit more food, I starting to get my strength back. I even managed to go out and play a little baseball with my grandkids. I had to go to K-Mart and pick up and bat and glove. I have not played baseball for years. Of course playing with a 6 year old and 5 year old is about my speed right now. I get checked out in the morning by Dr Cacucci and have my visit with the nutritional folks. Sounds to me that Andy has left you in good hands while he was gone. It was such a pleasure to meet not only you but Andy and your wonderful Mom and Dad. I bet you are really enjoying the pool. I love to exercise in water, it makes it so much easier - well until I get out and can hardly move this old body. I bought a portable spa a few weeks ago and enjoy sitting in it. It really helps relax me and sooths the pain in my back. I had to cancel my injections last week to burn the nerves in the back. I thought it best not to traumatize my body any more right now. I will probably try to have it done around the end of August. In the meantime I am going to visit my friendly Chiropractor and get some adjustments and therapy done. I have an appointment this Wed. with an Internal Medicine Specialist at the VA Hosp in Marion on Wed. Just my regular check up. Ann and I plan to stop and see Jennie on our way back home. She seems to be doing ok now, although she has a long way to go to get back to her normal self. I will finally be able to deliver her gift bag to her. You take it easy now, you here. Papa Dan

Good morning everyone, Well I didn't get my sun yesterday, but I have plans for it today this afternoon. I am now allowed to walk with this new doctor and lift 20 pounds, SOOOOO , I am going to go here soon and walk at the park. I can't wait. I am still having major pain in my rectal area. I will see the doctor on Thursday so maybe she can help me I have been taking the generic colace. It really hasn't help so, I am going to take this liquid stuff that is suppose to clean me out, I am not sure I am ready for this. My mom keeps telling me that I might be constapated inside some where from all the pain meds I was on three weeks ago. I am not sure but if I try this and still in pain then the doctor and can at least rule this out. Hope this works. Have a good day everyone. Angie if you see this, I am thinking about you two. Lisa B

Good morning everyone! Glad to see you are doing so well Mariah! And Dan...glad you are feeling better as well. Darrah...I may have to check out the Y on the east side....assuming there is one. Met Dawn & her hubby at the International Buffet last night. The food was as good as usual. Also enjoyed the races afterwards. Bill & I were happy to see our old favorite come back to the Speedrome...even if he did finish 3rd (but had started out at 23rd!). The one who won is a pretty good guy too so at least our Jack didn't lose to any of the Dawn knows who family! LOL! The east side of Indy doesn't have alot of attractions but the Speedrome definately puts it special to me! It was also terrific going with Dawn (who knows EVERYTHING about Speedrome!!) and her hubby. Sorry guys & gals. I didn't think to bring my camera with me this round. Well...big plans today? Go to work! Ugh! Only for a few hours at least. Hope you all have more exciting & fun plans than that! Have a wonderful day! Sherri

Sherri Help this dummy out. What is speedrome. Sounds interesting since I like all types of races. When and where is it. Do they have a web site. You are right Dawn and her hubby are really great folks, met them a few weeks ago. Dan

Dan, The Speedrome is a small car racing track located on the east side of Indy. It's address is 802 S. Kittley, so many of the locals also refer to it as 'Kitley' instead of the Speedrome. It's on the corner of Kitley & Brookville. It's website is: http://www.speedrome.com/. Donna (here on OH) has 3 of her guys racing there...her hubby & both sons. Small track is so much fun to watch...those guys really have heart. They have the beater classes (hornets & roadrunners) that just get out there and try to win...or at least, stay running. lol. They also have the modifieds which are a little more souped up. The figure-8 is probably the most exciting racing I've ever seen and the Speedrome is the place to see it! When they have the 3 hour, racers from all over the country plus Canada have all been in competition for it. Last night, they had the 100 lap figure-8. They usually have races Friday, Saturday, & Sundays...and it's usually a pretty good mix of racing. They have special nights too to where they do flag-pole racing, school bus demolitions, chain pulls, and lots more! I grew up on small tracks (mainly in Romeoville/Joliet area) and just really do think alot of Speedrome. I think you all would enjoy it. Sherri

Thanks Sherri, I may have to get down there and check it out. It sounds interesting. I enjoy the firgure 8. They use to have them here at Kokomo Speedway, but I do not think they have them now. I have not been out there since we moved back to Indiana. We do hear the roar of the cars every Sunday night. We live about 1/4 mile from the speedway. Dan
