Had my consultation Friday!!

Well I got back from my consultation up at St. V with Dr. Gupta. She seemed really nice, very matter of factual!!! She was in a hurry though, becuase her finance person was off, so she was running against the clock! But she had lots of information, and I learned soo much!! So did my step mom and husband, they both went too! My husband wants to do it after me,,, so i think he feels alot better about it all!!! We meet one on one with Dr. Gupta, and she said I was an excellent candidate for this surgery, and that since I don't smoke or drink and am young, this would be a very viable option, and would only be off work for 3 weeks, since she only does the LAPO RNY. I tried to get into the psychologist, but got voicemail while we were there. I asked the office staff, and they said I had to call. We went to PF Chaung up in Keystone for lunch, and the lady who schedules the psychologist said she had a 12 oclock appt, but it was 5 till 12 and we were in Keystone. So I schedule it for August 5th on a Saturday,, they said it takes like 3 hours??? I guess. I am calling my physician to get an appointment so we can talk about the letter. Dr. Gupta said I'd probably in good for a November surgery.. I"m soo excited!!!

Heather, Here is hoping you get everything approved and get that November surgery date. You are now entering the most difficult part of this whole process, getting insurance approval. Hopefully it will not be a problem for you, but do not ever give up. All the best. Dan

Dr. Cacucci did my surgery almost 2 years ago (Sept 1st). I had my psychological evaluation with Dr. Smith. I "might" have been in his office for 10 minutes. It was that simple. I do not know what others have experienced. That is how it was for me though. You can call them and ask how long you need to allow for this consultation. Good luck and Best wishes, Rhonda
