OK the folks that know me know I have had NO complications..None, Zip... Well last night we took Hubbys sisters out to dinner.. I had 2 shrimp, the meat from 3 ribs.. (about 3 tablespoons,) and about 4 teaspoons of mashed potatoes.. My pouch was full.. but not stuffed... then when we were done I started getting this Horrible pain right under my right rib... then it sorta traveled a little lower on my right side... I HURT real bad thought something horrible was happening.. got home and took my loratab.. I dont hurt anymore but feel.. tender.... very scared to eat anything to have it happen again....Any ideas what might have happened??? IT WASN'T GAS The pain felt like someone had gone into my intestines and was squeezing them in their fist!!! and wouldnt let go I walked and that didnt help.. just went out to the car early and waited till we got home for the loratab. I sure dont want that to happen again!!! Linda

Linda, Two things come to mind. First, gall bladder. My pain was located just under my right rib cage. If you no longer have yours, then I would suspect an internal hernia (aka kinky bowel syndrome). I had two types, but one of them closest reminded me of a charlie horse...but in the gut instead of the leg. In either instance, Dr. Cacucci would be the one you'd want to get hold of. In the meantime, keep a journal of when & where you have pain, along with the duration & describe it as best as you can. With either one, they can be taken care of by lap and they try to go into the same places as they did with your RNY. Sherri

Linda I have that happen now and then, but usually I contribute it to not chewing well enough and eating to fast. You should give Dr C's office and check it out with them. I have found that we are all so much different. Hope you do not have any repeat episodes of this. Dan

I agree with Sherri..... Gallbladder was the first thing that popped in my mind too. Certain foods can make it act up. Sounds like you need to take a trip to the doc and see if they will order a CT or something. Hope you feel better!! --kim
