Question about drainage

Yesterday I was only draining about 1/2 oz. No big deal. Well I woke up this morning and over night had drained nearly 1 1/2 oz.! I'm not sure if I should be concerned. In the tube it looks kinda off color but when I put it in the cup to measure it, it has that "correct" red color. I am going to keep an eye on it and maybe call Dr. Cacucci's office this afternoon if I need to. I don't feel bad or anything like that. Oh well...time for meds and breakfast. Sam

Some days were better for me than others. at least it is the right color!! ALWAYS if you are concerned call SUE Dr C's nurse, she may seem rough but she knows what she is talking about. Linda

Ok now my drainage is almost clear with just tiny red clots in it. Anything to worry about? The overall color in the bulb is still red. I hate this drain I swear! Sam

Sam, I was told each time with my drain tube that if it doesn't turn green/yellowish-green and it doesn't stink, it's fine. So...I'd so yours is A-OK! Sherri

Sam, I remember from when I had my tube. During the day I had about 1/2 ounce and over night I had about 1 1/2 ounce I didnt worry abou it too much I watched the color and it was always the color it was to be. Bonnie

I was draining about that much too. In fact I swore I was draining too much for them to take it out, and Dr. C said nope! And out it came! Amazing how much better you'll feel when they rip that out! It doesn't hurt, it feels... weird, like someone pulling a worm out of you or something.

I can't wait to get it out...I just keep repeating Monday over and over. I just want to be able to sleep on that side! I can sleep on my right side OK but the drain gets in my way on the left. Just a couple more days I keep saying!! Sam
