Hey! I just found out yesterday that my surgery date is AUGUST 10th, and I'm sooooo excited!!! However, I don't have an & would REALLY like one. I'm not really sure how this whole thing works, but if you'd like to volunteer to be mine, please answer here or visit my profile & contact me thru there. God Bless, Denise P.S. Denise, Congrats! Which hospital are you going to and who is your surgeon? I'd volunteer, but I will probably be having my foot surgery shortly before then. Not only will I not be able to drive, but will probably be in pain killer la-la land for a little bit. Anyway, someone more alert would probably be a better choice..lol. Best wishes!! Sherri

Hi Denise, I would love to be your angel!!!! However let me just say, you would be my first. Could you let us know more about you. Your surgeon, type of surgery,the hospital. How about yourself, are you married, have children, blah, blah, blah. Anything that you would like for us/me to know. My name is Dawn, you can read my profile for more info. I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband. I also have a 12 year old son,who also is very supportive and excited about my having this surgery and seeing the changes in me. I have been having lots of WOW moments recently.riding bikes with my family, going to the beach and enjoying it, losing my first 100 lbs. etc. You will soon be a loser and will also be enjoying these same WOW moments. Denise Welcome to the Indiana Board. You will find plenty of folks here to help you in any way we can. Just drop your questions out here and you will get some great support. Since you live in Wabash I would like to extend an invitation to attend our Kokomo Support Group that meets on the 3rd Wed night at 7:00. If interested drop me an email and I will send you directions on how to get there. It is a very active group and we have a great leader who himself had WLS about 4 yrs ago and his wife also had WLS and just went thru Plastic Surgery a couple of months ago. My prayers will be with you for an uneventful surgery and a rapid recovery. Just remember, take your vitamins, drink (sip) water all you waking hours, and walk as often as you can daily. Dan

I would luv to come to the support group. However, there are 2 problems. #1 It's too far away for me & #2 I go to church on Wed, and I will NOT miss. TY for the invite though. Also, thanx for the prayers & advice!! God Bless, Denise

hey we are trying to get a support group going here in wabash  it would not be supported by st vincents yet but it can be just getting together and talking and we would love to have you join us.  Right now it will most likely be  at my house to start out and then if its big we can move to a bigger building.  Call me  260-571-8300 and my name is carol.  hope to hear from you.
