Could I ask for a Prayer ?
Everyone, My on/off again finance is in a nursing home/rehab center. He has CHF and is having a hard time walking, due to retaining so much water. He can't take a water pill because is blood pressure drops way to low. He is a proud man and doen't want me to come see like that. I dont understand what like that means. I visited him at the hospital, no problem. He said his doctor told him that he might not be able to go back to work full time. And working is his life, its his shop and he loves his business.
Angie, you know who I'm talking about.
So, at least I honor his wish and know more surprise visits, but at least we call each other. If you add him to your prayers, I know he would be greatful, I am.
Blessings, Gail
Done!... Really helps if I have a first name.. God knows who I am talking about but a first name pops into my head better so everytime It does I can say a prayer...
Love and Prayers,
Linda
PS Darn men are sooo proud.. don't want us to "see them this way" and don't realize that we just need to see them.... Hang in there...
Gail,
I'll keep him...and you...in my thoughts & prayers. Men are problem solvers and women are nuture'ers...just our nature. When me are ill or injured, they get frustrated because they can't just take care of it...and yep, it is a pride thing. Especially since they can't do what their nature tells them to do and just make the problem go away. It can be very frustrating for the women in their lives who just wants to nurse them and try to help them feel better. My dh lost the majority of his vision back in 2002 & had to sell his electrical company and quit being an electrician. That was very frustrating for him...still is...and it has really put a strain on our relationship at times. Hang in there. Give him time to accept the condition & his inability to fix it himself.
huggs,
Sherri
