2 weeks from today is my surgery, on August 1st. I'm getting really nervous. I hear great reports from all of you & I will be doing the same soon. WOW!!!! Kristi

Kristi, Wow...your nervous?!? Guess what hon? That means you're normal! Any surgery is enough to make you edgy but make it one that you know is going to alter your life??? Just remember, it is altering your life to the BETTER. As far as the surgery itself...think of it as the same difference as getting your appendix or gall bladder out..risk-wise. If you were in pain from either of those, you'd be begging the doctor to take the culprit out ASAP. In this case though, the doc's putting IN a tool that is going to help you live a healthy life!
