Friday Consultation

Hello all and good morning.. Another HOT one today.. Ugggh,, I hate this stuff!!! Well I have my consultation on Friday with Dr. Gupta at St V. I was given a packet of information to fill out to bring with me. The question I have is,, is there anything else I should bring???? Should I call my original doctor to see if I can get a letter to bring to with me for recommendation??? or bring something else?? whatever will make it better for insurance to cover it. Let me know what you think,, Thanks!!!!!!

If its anything like mine with Dr. Caccuci it was more like a cattle call. It was more about them giving you information and them logging u into their system. I along with 30 of my closest strangers filled a room and listed to ppl talk to us about what all we would need to do over the next few weeks. Thats all the stuff they want you to get from your drs and former drs, etc. They did wt us all and take measurments. Then for those who were willing to pay for the inital consult she spent like 10 min max with u in a private room going over specific questions about u. It was very easy so I dont think u will need anything special. Just time consuming but not hard at all Mariah

Fill out your packet and take it. It is a little short notice to get a letter from your Dr, so don't be discouraged if you don't get one. I think you should take your packet, and schedule your dietician consult and your psych evaluation. Then schedule a quick appointment w/your Dr to update her/him about what you are doing. Get a letter from her/him then along w/whatever medical history your insurance requires. Will your surgeon be sending in the request? If so, then send what your Dr gives you to her. Try to send everything at once!!
