July 22nd at the Speedrome!!

Hey all... I mentioned in a previous post to see if anyone would like to go to the Speedrome next Saturday and cheer our Donna's hubby & two sons on. Donna...I still need their names/classes hon..gotta know who we are cheering! LOL! Here's the info: Race starts at 7..so should probably try to get there 6-6:30...especially if we want to try to all sit together (which would make for a better heard cheering 'section'). Races scheduled that night are: 25th annual 100 lap figure 8, stocks, roadrunners, hornets, Hall of Fame. If you've never seen a figure 8, you just HAVE to come! We are going to be at the Hasienda (sp?) Mexican Restaurant at 5. It is on the south side of Washington just west of Kitley Avenue. It sets back away from the road in a round looking pale green building. Since the track has basically...well, track food...thought it'd be best to get some food that was tummy friendly first. Since it is so close to the Speedrome, thought it to be a good choice. Besides, I love their food! LOL! Drop me an email if you'd like to meet me & Bill at the restauraunt (we'll be sure to get enough sitting spaces together for everyone) or at the track (we'll wait to get our ticket so we can all sit together if we know you're coming). If you drop me an email, I'll send you my cell # just in case anything comes up. From East Washington, the track is south on Kitley Avenue. Can't miss it! It'll be on the right side of the road. Sounds good, to me!!! Hey Scott, you need to come so I can redeem myself----PLEASE!!!! I grew up going to the speedrome, the figure 8 is awesome!!! We usually go to the 3 hour figure 8, but 100 laps is still exciting!!!Hope others can join us, it will be fun! Not sure about the mexican, I have tried it several times and everytime I have had it somewhere other than LOS RANCHEROS on Pendleton Pike, I have been really sick and visiting the bathroom ALOT. So I may have to skip eating mexican so that I can assure myself to be able to see and enjoy all of the races- besides the bathrooms at the speedrome are not that attractive to spend the evening in there LOL LOL!!! We thought you seemed familiar with the Speedrome from your email! LOL! We also go to the 3 hour every year!! Such a small world! Does some other place sound better to meet & eat? I could go about anywhere except Olive Garden (since I can't do pasta, why bother?). Oriental? We're flexible. Sam....it won't be no time and you will be jumping at the opportunity to go, go, go! I LOVE La Hacienda! That is my place of CHOICE for mexican post op. Beans & rice- gimme gimme. Are times in the PM Im assuming? If that's the case I might be able to go for at least the dinner part. I love ANY excuse to go to La Hacienda.

I think Dawn meant to put this on the board (since there's a note in it to Sam) instead of in an email to me... Yep LOVE the Speedrome! As far as dinner- I don't want to interfer with your plans, but if you would like to cahange to a different restaurant I would consider if everyone else is game! I like the International Buffet on East Washington, it is where Old Country Buffet was.They do offer a discount for WLS, they charge 6.00 which is the childrens price.They have crab legs, chinese. prime rib, sald/fruit/dessert bar, shrimp, pasta,etc, it is mostly chinese food though! Let me know, I won't be upset though if you stick to Mexican! Sam, the nerves are so normal!!! In just a short time you will be noticing the changes and wondering why you did not do it sooner! The WOW moments are in your near future and you will be so amazed at the transformations both to your health as well as your outer self/self esteem. It is so worth it!
