Home from the Clothing Exchange....
Linda I don't think you were being insensitive at all. My personal experience (though I'm still pretty new to them) has taught me (espically in the past few months) that as you become smaller those closest around you start becoming a little more sensitive to their looks/weight and your comments about weight.
Right after I had surgery and I'd get the giggles from ANY weight I'd loose and I'd announce it to my sister and my mom. Now matter what I loose, be it one pound or five pounds, both of them would say "Oh but you'll NEVER be as small as me." When I got to her size I have found I could no longer discuss weight and clothing sizes in any way shape or form with my sister without her going into hyper sensitivity mode. If I did she'd make comments like "Look I know I'm fat I don't need you to keep reminding me." and others along that line. It has even gotten worse now that I'm a size smaller then her. My mother on the other hand became super sensitive untill she realized me being her size meant more clothes for her, so she quickly changed her attitude.
It's not you though. Our closest friends and relatives are soo use to us being/looking obese/fat that just as it's hard for our minds to wrap around our own weight loss so it is for them. It's human nature that as things change around us for us to react sensitively and sometimes respond childish to changing places and people in our lives. Please don't think you were being insensitive. I think you are one of the kindest and soft hearted person that I've come across in a long time.

First off I have to thank everyone for their encouraging words! I am so glad to have such a great group to lean on for support.
Second I have to think Deb and the "Hoosier Losers" for the goodie bag. The lotion and candle smelled divine! It really means a lot, thank you very much!
Thirdly I have to thank Julie for hosting a great exchange!
Fourthly, I have to thank Julie and Donna for helping assist myself and Sarah in shopping. It was so difficult for me to look at smaller sizes and picture myself being able to wear them. I truly appreciate your help and support.

I had a FABULOUS time seeing all of you as usual!
Next time I promise the pumpkin cheescake bars! Someone (I dont remember who now) gave me a good idea for a different crust to try. I think maybe it was Julie B. And by the way, thanks for hosting this one, I had a ton of fun! A HUGE thanks to whoever brought the 38 C/D bras!
I had a question about the clothing exchange on October 7th Dan. Will it be in the day time as usual? I hope so, because that is the day of my 5k race, and it starts at about 4pm I believe, and I sure would like to be abel to do both things that day! My husband even has the day off so everyone can see how cute he is finally!
