Im finally home but still not able to chat much...Im hoping after the weekend.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know I was the only one that had surgery on Wed and got to come home today. All the staff kept telling me that they couldn't believe how amazingly well I did. I just hope that keeps up and no complications set in. My husband and I left the hospital at ruffly 11 am and I was at the house by 1:15. I have had very little to to drink since I got home. My husband is off to CVS now and get my meds filled. The first thing I did when I got home was get in my bed and crash. I had been up most of the night at the hospital...got lots of walking and sips in there. Had a protein shake on the way home in the car and a sippy cup of water. I'm doing fine. My husband and I will do a little walking tonight. OH and for the record. All my output was doing great. What they expected while I was in the hospital and as soon as we got in the car I started passing all that gas. I feel even better now when it comes to all that. Well enough details...lol

Your poor husband.........lol and all cooped up in the car with your gas.......tooo funny....do not over do it...rest some.....enjoy that sippy cup, i did not use it to long, but i do still use my baby spoons and forks

Mariah Glad to hear you are home and well. I really feel for poor Andy all cooped up in the car while getting rid of that gas. After I got home from the hospital even my dogs went and hid. I don't know why Take care and get some rest and keep that sippy cup going at all times and walk walk walk. Dan

Well Sam, THese crazy drs dont know what a week is. I am having my follow up on Monday...and my week wouldnt be up till wed...tues at the earliest u would think. So I dont know if I will get to come visit you. I'll be staying at my folks house that week and I wont be able to drive they said as long as Im taking pain meds. I have only had one dose since Ive been back but I really could have taken more. I just dont want to be on that crap forever...plus all those liquids taste like poo. Well I'll get back with u later and I did email u my number as u requested...feel free to call me anytime. I sure wish I could get to the clothing exchange today. errrrr.. Mariah

Hehehe, that's a dr's week for ya. Just due to their schedules I'm sure. My "6 month" appt is August 18th, and I won't be 6 months out until September 1st. I only took a little sip of pain meds one time after I got home. Maybe you'll be as lucky. Sorry I didn't get up to see you as I wanted to, Work has been crazy this last week, and I knew when I had my surgery on Wednesday, I was out of there by 1030 am Friday morning, and I couldn't have been there until noon. Sounds like things are going great! Keep that walking going!

Poor Hubby!!! Mine asks me to PLEASE go downstairs and use the bathroom down there... so he doesnt have to enjoy the relief too.. It is not just surgery gas.,.. for me it is all the time gas..!! SO glad you are doing well!!!! I mix my liquid loratab with white grape juice... makes it bearable.. The next exchange will be in the fall... you will deffinatly need it!!! Send out emails when you are looking for something in the mean time... maybe we can getsomething to you and then again THANK GOD FOR GOODWILL!! LInda
