new vitamin guidelines
I had my 9 month appointment yesterday and wanted to let you know that after the doctors attended a bariatric conference last week they have increased the dosage for calcium now. We are to take 1500 mg of Calcium Citrate (Citrical) daily. They don't recommend Viactive anymore as it doesn't absorb as well. They did say I could finish my supply now but to take it with food so it will absorb better.
Thought I would share with you. You might want to check with your dietician. Also I have now lost 166 pounds and both the dietician and Dr. Inman said I should not get below 160 for my new healthy goal weight. So I am changing my goal to 160 instead of 175. So I need 30 more pounds to reach my goal. Isn't life good?
Looking forward to seeing everyone at clothing exchange tomorrow.

I just saw your great red hair and was like that sure looks like Connie! We were waiting to go to the nutritional class. I got there at 8AM and we didn't go to class till 9:30AM! Good thing they had a TV to keep us entertained. They told us about the new calcium requirements in class as well. Too bad I had already bought a big thing of Viactiv. Oh well I will give those to my mom.
See you tomorrow!!

Oh that is nice to know but too bad. I liked the Viactive. Those little chews were my evening treat with a cup of milk. I have chocolate mint, raspberry and carmel. guess I'll go get some Citrical tonight. My next check up isn't till November so I can be ahead of the game when I go back. That weight loss is awsome Connie. You are an inspiration. I'm down 85 pounds now at 6 months and have 100 more to go to my goal. Dr. Evanson really hasn't discussed a goal weight for me yet. He probably wants to wait till I start getting closer to it. Have fun at the clothing exchange. Take care.
Great!! I have been on the calcium citrate for almost a year.. Deb Noel told me I should be taking it and I just don't like the chewable kind.. I break the pills in half.. put them in water and they are melted withihn 5 minutes.. so now I just take the pills.. I can take anything that melts in water within 5 minutes...
See ya all later!!
