Info on self pay

Hi- I just found out my insurance does NOT cover the surgery. I am wondering if anyone has done self pay and can give me an idea of the cost. Thanks, Kathy

Kathy I can not help you regarding self pay but I am sure someone out here has experienced it. I know Amy from here in Kokomo was self pay and went down to Mexico to have her Lap Band done. She posted on here not to long ago. I know they billed my insurance company around $35,000.00 but the hospital accepted less on a negotiated settlement. I can't remember what was finally paid but it was much less than billed. I wish you all the best and hope you can find the means to get it done.
