Good Morning Sherri, The ONLY time I can hop on here is before work... I used to hop on once in a while AY work but the crack down fdor computer use is awful.. they are afraid we might not get enough done for them if we get to use it for personal reasons... I keep trying to tell them it works perfect for the "Get IN shape INdiana program" but they arent buying it.. Linda

Good Morning everyone! Im up as uaual at 6 am, even tho its a day off for me. I do have a little translation work to get done for work, but should only take a few minutes, and I'm going to do it AFTER I walk/jog this morning. Yesterday I got 1/2 a mile from my house when it decided to downpour. I thought about turning around, but decided that in the 1/2 mile home i'd be soaked anyway, so might as well just keep on trucking. Getting ready to get dressed and head out there again this morning. Somehow the scale is saying I GAINED a pound and a half yesterday. Since I know there is no WAY I ate over 3500+ calories yesterday, I'm declaring it a fluke and am moving on. I have 9 more pounds to lose by August 4th to make my goal, sure hope I can. I also decided to give myself something to look forward to and work for. I have decided that I want to do a 5k walk/run. So the training has offically started (although I've been doing this a couple months now)! If anyone is interested in joining me, it is October 7 at Eagle Creek Park. Linda, 8 hour people here are 'allowed' 1 break in the morning, lunch, and 2 breaks in the afternoon. In our department, we usually just take the lunch one...and not always an hour (mine is usually about 20 minutes). I think because of this no one minds if we check on personal stuff when we're here...especially since most people don't abuse it and has their priorities straight. We have had a few though that thought an internet connection meant they could spend the day on e-bay. It's good that they didn't ruin it for anyone but themselves (they are no longer with the company..but not neccesarily for that). Angie....I think most of us were assuming that there WOULD be a pitch-in Saturday. I haven't decided for sure what I'm making yet, but that was the assumption I was under. Julie B...let us know if that wouldn't be a good thing..ok? Sherri

Good morning everyone!!! Another day,, well another rainy day... I wi**** was Friday..... It wasn't as busy yesterday at work,, but I'm just waiting for the doors to open,, because then I'll be busier then busy. Seems to go in spurts... My little girl had her T-Ball game last night,, it's her last for the season. It wasn't the best weather, but they got a little trophy with there name on it,, that's pretty big for a 4 year old. She hasn't stopped talking about her trophy..... Everyone have a great day!!!

Good Morning Indiana, Well the clothing exchange is almost here. The time has gone by so quickly since the last exchange. I am excited to meet/see evryone, we always have such a good time! Well I posted about going to the waterpark and to the zoo over the weekend already, I can not tell you how much fun I have been having so far! Last night my husband, son and I went shopping and we all 3 left with NEW bikes. Who would've ever thought I would be wanting a new bike. I did, and I am enjoying it. Now if the weather would only cooperate so we can ride them!!! To everyone beginning their journeys, I wish you the best! Some of us have tougher journeys than others, just remember the journey is yours and enjoy it, it is well worth it. The WOW's are incredible and the new loser friends are AWESOME!!! Angie, Since they took me off those 2 meds on Monday I have been feeling much better. Still not 100% but I know it will take some time for my system to get the old meds out. You are right, I was told that the VA has sent some folks in Louisville, KY to a civilian hospital for WLS. If I get involved with the policy makers over in Marion maybe one day they will send people to Indiana for surgery. Will not hold my breath of that. Is Ed going to be there on Sat or does he have to work again? See you Saturday. Dan

Good Day Everyone, Mariah and Jennifer have been on my mind. Hope all is good with them. Can't wait to hear from them soon. Went to places around Crawfordsville yesterday distrubuting my flyers.Got a few crappy responsives (one doctors office (with four PCPS) actually told me NO because they physicians there didn't believe surgery was a sufficient treatment for morbid obesity. I was shocked). Had places that were excited to let their patients know of a local support group. I ran out of my 50 flyers fast. So I've printed some more... gonna hit a few more public places today plus keep some in my purse for when I go outside the city limits and find an interesting moment/place to drop of a flyer. Gotta go to the DMV today and not looking forward to it. Gotta do a plate transfer, renewal and get a new drivers lic. With their computer problems it could be awhile. Went to the OH's state directory to find WLS'ers from Crawfordsville so that I could email them about the meetings and found out that I can only send 5 emails to OH memebers (via the "Email Me" link from profiles) every 24 hours. Sooooo - I've got to wait a few days to be able to get to everyone. I'd like to get people from the surrounding cities too but I might not be able to do that with the limited email cap. ALso if at anytime any of you like to come visit or be a guest speaker PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. There are a few of you on here that have been inspirational to me and I'd LOVE to pass the inpiration on with you all by my side occasionally, hahaha. I'll be at the clothing exchange this weekend with six bags of xlarge and size 16 clothing. Everyone have a good productive day..... hugs and love.
