WLS - Peer Support Meetings

Well - It is now offical.... I'm going to be starting a local WLS Peer Support Meeting Group for the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County area. Open to Pre and Post OP's. The meeting will be held at the Shady Knolls Club House in Crawfordsville on the last Thursday of each month begining this July 27th between 6:30 and 7:30 pm. If you are in the area and are interested in attending plz let me know by either posting here or by email so that I have a clue as to how many people to @ expect. I will provide bottle water for the meetings. If you know someone that dosen't normally come here to see the posts but lives around the Crawfordsville area please let them know about the meeting place and time. Thanx Jodi

Thanks Sherri If you have any ideas for topics and stuff let me know. Lord knows I could use all the help I can get, hahha.

I would contact local health personel...dieticians, podiatrists, chiropractor, fitness centers and ask them to guest speak as to their specialty and how it affects weight loss. They may would have other ideas for speakers from careers which branch off of theirs (such as a dietary chef). The county nurse, school nurse, and/or school physical education teacher would probably make a good speaker also when it comes to obesity & children. Yep, we're all adults who have had or are checking into WLS but we are raising some hefty children and with some guidance, perhaps we can help to slow down that trend. Sherri

Good for you!!! I know Mooresville needs one... the closest one is Speedway and we have alot of southern Indy people who could meet.. Ideas: Staying in Focus, HOW to USE your tool, exercise is your friend, I could go on.. all stuff I need... Linda

Carey I'm @ 2.5 to 3 hours south west of the Michigan/Indiana State line.
