Why after 21 months am I now craving all of the foods that I used to love. Everyday I swear that today will be different & I won't give in to all of the food temptations. Before I know it I have eaten sweets. Sometimes I don't even think about what I am putting in my mouth. I have gained a few pounds back, but everyone is telling me that I look healthier. I want that weight gone again ! My DH will be going on a 10 day vacation without me & I plan to rid the house of all of the junk! I am not blaming it on him. I am the one that buys it! In my mind I am telling myself that I am buying it for him but I am the one that eats it. Thanks for letting me vent. You guys are the greatest!

Jana, Don't beat yourself up over it. Just keep snacks in the house that are healthy for you. It's amazing how spouses will snack on healthy stuff too if that's the only snack in the house! My 'sweets': sf cookies (homemade), sf hard candy (for when I just gotta crunch), sf popcycles (have you seen the new diet A&W ones? Yummy!). My munchies: high protein pork rinds (bariatriceating.com), 100 cal bags of popcorn, turkey jerky. I also keep plenty of fruit in the fridge at all times, cut up & ready to go! Have a good time while dh is away! Perfect time to get back on track! Think he'd take mine with him? LOL! Sherri

OMG I know what you mean... BUT lately I have had watermelon in the fridge.. and cherries, and think I will start looking into the necterines... Fruit is where its at.. All the sweet and fiber and sooo good for you... I take popcorn into break and sit with 5 other ladies and split a bag.. Linda

Slipping back into old habits is my biggest fear. Keeping the junk out of site and out of mind is the best defense. If it is chips you crave I found somthing good that isn't to bad for us. Quaker Soy Crisps. 120 calories for 18 crisps and they have 7 grams of protein in a serving. They come in barbacue and white cheddar. There are other brands out there also but the Quaker are easy to find. Keep fighting back. You will win.
