OK I know everyone says you end up taking too much. I am one of those people who do that for every trip! So I have tried to refrain from too much non-necessities but here is what I have so far: Capri PJ Pants Tank Top Bra Zip up Hoodie (I get cold a lot) T-Shirt (to wear home) Flip Flops Running Pants (to wear home) Socks Lip Balm Hair Brush Shampoo Conditioner Face Astringent (I have acne so I really need my face medicine) Face Wash Hair Ties Hair Clips Mascara (My must have beauty product!) Tampons (in case I get my period from the surgery) Camera Book Journal Dell DJ Pillow Purse/Wallet with ID and Insurance card etc. So am I missing anything vital? I feel like I am prepared and I have a reason to bring all of the things above but I'm scared I'm forgetting something. Sam

Great list! I'd also bring a robe & slippers..but that's me. Oh..and body wash. I'm not one for bar soap. I don't see underwear/panties on your list. Hmmm...camera...I didn't think of that!! What's a Dell DJ? Is that like a MP3? I will definately have my MP3 with me for any future hospital stays! That's all I can think of. I usually bring a puzzle book with me too because I usually can't get into anything that takes too long of concentration. Sherri

I thought about slippers but I am more comfortable in flip flops and can walk better in those. Do need to grab a robe. I wondered what the soap would be like. Better bring my own just to be safe. As for the underwear....welll TMI but I am not a big fan. Haha! Dell DJ is an MP3 player yes. I will have to have it for sure. Think I can fit it all in one bag too...well a bag and my purse. Getting close! Sam

yeah, youll want some body wash. I was EVER so grateful that my goodie bag came with some and that Deb had come to see me the night before I was allowed to take a shower. Other than that, sounds pretty good. I took jammie pants too for sleeping and walking the halls. Just make sure they are lose fitting pants, remember there will be some swelling in that tummy area. I wore my trusty new bals (sneakers) for walking the halls. They were big enough that I just always left them tied (tying your shoes at 381 lbs is a chore), so I didn't have to bend over to tie them, just pop them on and off. I got my period during surgery too. Woke up with a maxi pad between my legs and these fantasticaly not sexy mesh panties.. I might have been a little drowsy from drugs, but I could have sworn they said no to tampons, and I had to wear a pad with the mesh panties until it stopped the next day. You might want to call and see.

I am definately adding body wash to the list of things needed. I figure my capris will work well for walking...they are from Lane Bryant and super comfy. I seem to walk better in flip flops than I do in regular tennis shoes. I might back a pair just in case though. Crap, I'll have to ask about the tampons. I haven't worn pads in forever...I don't think I even own any. Mesh undies? Sounds kinky! Haha! I'll have to check. Sam
