Dr. Gupta

I have my consultation on July 21st, with Dr. Gupta. Has anyone gone through surgery with her and what are your thoughts? I have been told to see Dr. Huse,, but I really like the thought that Dr. Gupta is women, and she does both the RNY and the LapBand. Can anyone enlighten me on her???? I've seen alot of people who've gone to St. V... Tell me what you think??? Thanks!!!!!!! ;-)

I had Dr. Gupta for my RNY on Dec 30 2005. I have to honestly say that I love her. She is great and she knows what is going on. She is very intelligent. I think you will like her. She does expect you to do what you are told to do before and after the surgery. I hope this helps you out. Kylie

Love her! Love her! Love her! To me...any well trained bariatric surgeon SHOULD be able to do bariatric surgery competently...but... if you are an oddball (like me) and Murphy's Law was written 'just for you', then you want someone who can handle these little complications. Dr. Gupta can and does! let me stress, the complications I had, had NOTHING to do with ANYTHING Dr. Gupta did. It was just me and my wierd body. But whatever this bod threw at her, she was able to take care of! THAT is the kind of surgeon I appreciate! BTW..Dr. Gupta is also very easy to talk with. Something else very important to me! Oh...and did I mention? I just love her! Sherri

I'm not sure *****commended Dr Huse, but I did not like him. I loved Dr Gupta's group and switched to them when he would not help me with my complications. But that is just my opinion. He does not have the bed side manner that she does. Good luck! Stephanie

Thank you to everyone!! The guy who had the surgery from Dr. Huse had to do an open surgery,, so I'd rather not go down that road, if at all possible. Granted the guy was larger then I,, but still... Thanks for all the information.. I really am glad to hear all the positive about Dr. Gupta,, I really want someone who is gonna talk to me, and make me feel comfortable.....
