Tomw is the big day and I am sitting here crying, scared, and excited
I have alot to be happy about. My son gave me my second grandchild last Thursday, another girl. 5lb's 15 oz and 19 1/2 inches she is addorable but very tiny. Her name is Allyssa Marie and her big sister Allison Elizebeth is thrilled , she will be 4 in November, lol. My boyfriend took today off work to spend it with me and keep my mind thinking good thoughts but I am scared to death as it is creeping up on me. My 14 yr old daughter is in a nasty mood tonite she wants to stay with me in the hospital to make sure I am taken care of and alright, I have explained to her she is too young but she just argues with me and she has been crying as well. My brother's have called me tonite trying to talk me out of it, they just made me cry even more.I am wide awake, got my bag packed, got my living will ready, letter's to my kid's and family ready and my will just in case.Everything is in order but me I will be at St Vincent's in Carmel, I think that is part of my problem it is soo far away from my family. It takes 45 minutes from my house to there, and I know I will not see them every day and it is long distance. I am looking forward to joining the losing side. I know I need to just get over it. lol To all those who have sent me well wishes, i thank you very much and to those having surgery good luck and prayers for ya.
Cindy,
I hope you get a chance to read this before you take off to St. V's. Please tell your daughter that St. V's is the tops when it comes to their bariatric patients! My sister, an RN, was going to stay with my dad when he had his surgery last year. I tried to tell her that it would not be neccesary. I think it took all of an hour after he was in his room for her to be convinced enough that he was going to be in terrific hands for her to be willing to leave. LOL! Not to mention, you aren't there that long and what time you are there, you are busy walking, sipping, do your breathing exercises, walking, eating, walking, do your breathing exercises, walking, sipping, do your breathing exercises, walking, eating, walking, do your breathing exercises, etc.
Best of luck today and know that all will be great!
See you on the losing side....
Sherri
Tell your daughter she has nothing to worry about when it comes to St V they will take great care of you. It has now been 5 weeks for me and I feel as if I never had the surgery other then not eating much! I live around your area and it is a long drive but St V is the best place to be. I will say a prayer for you and your family.
