Greetings all... I'm trying to decide what surgeon I plan on using, but I think I have it narrowed down to a few. Dr Cacucci is on my short list... so if you have had her, I would LOVE to know her pre-op requirements, and also what testing she does. Thanks in advance! Sally

You can't smoke.. You will be sent to education classes and I think she wanted us to be sure we were willing to listen, follow orders and have the desire to succeed!! I had her she doesnt talk much.. seems a little quiet but I really like her she is very supportive after surgery and during the office visits she listens to everything you have to say. THEN answers your questions. She doesnt interupt and she doesnt rush in and out of the office like an assembly line.. When I went to her seminar she answered every question anyone had. Hope MY opinion helped.. Linda

I loved Dr. Cacucci! LIke Linda said, on my consultation day, there were TONS of questions, and she never makes you feel like she's answered that SAME question (and you know she has) about 8 billion times. During the one on one she answered all of my husband's questions and mine too. My husband said she was great at keeping him updated suring sugery, and I had the best hospital experience ever. Once I thought I was getting a hernia or something, felt a lump in my tummy, and she got me right in her office the next day (turns out it was just some lumpy fat).

A friend of mine had Dr. Cacucci and was happy with her. I had Dr. Evanson and couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. He's very honest and very easy to talk to. I liked him from the first initial consultation. One bonus with Evanson and Inman is they usually don't leave a drain tube in after surgery. It may not be a big deal but I've heard others comment about how painful the drain tube could be and what a relief it was when it was removed after the first week. So, if you haven't made a definate decision on your surgeon you may want to consider Evanson.

I love Dr. Cacucci. I had an emotional down the week after surgery, which happened to be the same time as my first follow-up appointment. She was wonderful, didn't rush me and spent lots of time talking to me. My pre-op test showed hemangiomas on my liver, and my PCP wanted me to have a CT scan to make sure it wasn't something else. This was 5 days after my RNY. Dr. C. told me that I was fine and that the Radiologist *****ad my report was just "Covering his A$$". She is a fantastic surgeon, but wants you to follow her rules extactly, if you don't she'll let you have it. She is young, but does alot of the RNY's. St. V's Bariatric floor was awesome too. The best hospital stay I've ever had.

Sally, I had Dr Cacucci and would highly recommend her. She really cares and is straight forward with you. I did a lot of research and background checks on various surgeons. It came down to her or Dr Gupta. Dan
