Helpp....I am 14 weeks PostOp and I am getting a bad cold. Are we suppose to take anything special??? I read somewhere along time ago that we are to take medicine like a "diabetic", but now I can't find it. Just wondered if I was dreaming or if I was correct. I could call the doctor, but they are closed at the present moment. Thanks for your help! ~Tammy

Tammy, I usually do liquid NyQuil/DayQuil. Taste terrible, but it's liquid & helps. The only 'diabetic' stuff I know of is for cough medicine. Robotusin I think. Hope you get to feeling better! Sherri

Kroger has a generic diabetic tussin that tastes better than the Robitussin for diabetics. They also have a cough and cold version. Hope you feel better soon. Cindy

Tammy I used Theraflu it worked awesome! The cinnimon apple flavor was the best to me and it puts you to sleep so it is easier to sleep the cold off. Good luck!! As far as being concerned with meds, the main thing is to look at the size of the pills and the sugar content. The hardest part for me was size of pills.. Michelle
