Honestly... just read up on vitamins..read all the info offered here on this website and then only do as your Dr and dietitian say for you to do... YOU will have enough to do following the yellow sheet and commiting it to memory.. You are doin great keep your head up and your fingers crossed!! Linda

Good morning everyone! Today is going to be a LONG day! Dh decided he wanted to stay up half the night & keep me up with him. So...after about 3 hours of sleep (and that much because he finally said 'well, if you feel you must go to sleep'), here I am at work (and he's home in bed!!). And wouldn't you know it, everything I have to do is reading...either on the pc or hard copy. There is nothing worse for me when I'm tired than to try to read technical reports! Well..that or sitting through meetings...and I have 2 of them today! Some days, I really think it should be legal to your dh! Ah well..this too is life. You all have a great day! Sherri

Morning All, Today starts my finals. I am not too worried though. Friday is the big day to go to my Psych evaluation Im not looking forward to that. I'm sure I will have to do one of those tests where they asked you all those crazy questions and then sneak them in again to see if you are crazy enough to answer them differently. I had to take an MMPI once for a job and it was long and boring. Well like I said I'm sure I'm a little nuts but Im gonna try to fake it best I can. Anyone remember how long this appt is? Hey Mariah, What about the book Carnie Wilson wrote? There is another on too I will see if I can find the authors name. I saw it on someone's profile. Ya'll have a blessed day, Christine

Christine, Unless they've changed the psyche guy, you'll have the same one I did. No test. He just asks you a few questions one on one. Don't get too shook up by it. I think it took maybe 15-20 minutes. No biggie. Sherri

I did alot of rechearch on the internet to be honest, i too got the wt loss for dummies book, St. Vincent will give you a book to at your pre-op class. But that is like only a few weeks before you have your surgery, To be honest I think the internet, going to support meeting now before surgery and listening to what others are going through is the most knowledge I learned alot there and what I didn't learn, I make sure I tell the newbees so they will know. Just ask someone here or go to other sites, the good and the bad side of the surgery, I researched on the net off and on for over a year. Because I had to wait for ever to get my surgery due to my insurance. There are sites I don't even know about. Lisa B

Morning Everyone!! Mariah, as far as reading material goes - read your food labels. Invest in cookbooks (my personal favorite is a cook book called "Lean and Luscious" by Bobbie Hinman & Millie Snyder, because it's a high protien cookbook but it lists serving sizes, carbs, protein, fats, cholestoral, sodium. It's awesome). Hope everyone is doing good. I've been kinda still lurking as my depression hasn't been getting much better. But I'm working on it not consuming. I also wanted to let those of you that are in my area that my apartment complex (Shady Knoll's) is having a community yard sale this friday and saturday. I will be out there selling some stuff as I have a car repair bill to pay in order to get my car back from the repair shop. So come on out and plz help a girly out if you can. I see Dr Clark this next Monday and I"m kinda looking forward to seeing him. I've been averaging about a 10 lbs loss every months since my last fill (in mid March if I remember correctly) but it looks like I've only lost 6 this month. As long as the scales keep moving I'm okay with that - even if it's a slow move. So far though I have much to be happy and successful for - a minus 135 lbs from my highest weight and minus 82 lbs from my surgery day weight. Pictures hopefully will be coming soon. I'm also working out details to start a WLS Friendly support group for my area as well. I'll let you all know the details as I secure a place to meet at. Take care and everyone have a good "hump" day and week.

I just replied to you!! I was trying to figure out what site you saw me on Ha Ha! On the Physician review site? I went to my Dr.'s office yesterday and got all the paperwork. My PCP wrote a GREAT letter if recommendation! I hope it's enough. I'll post it later. So totally I am feeling really good about surgery. I am going to put together the packet and mail it tomorrow I think! EEK! Sam
