So I annoyed. I have all the paper work together for my insurance except two/three things. The Anthem paper from my PCP, a letter from my PCP concerning surgery, and my medical records from my PCP. I turned in the form and the request for medical records 3 WEEKS AGO! So I call after a week to check on them and they inform me the Dr. was out of office all last week. OK no big deal. I call yesterday...it is still sitting on her desk half done, should be ready tomorrow and they'll call me (so today.) So yesterday I took off of work to get some cleaning done since the boyfriend was off of work. Since they said the paper work would be ready today, I took today off of work so that I could go get that paperwork and finish the cleaning because other wise lord knows when I would get over there since they close before I get home from work. So now I am thinking about taking tomorrow off of work (glad I have lots of overtime/vacation) to get the paperwork and mail it out. This is so frustrating. To be honest as the weeks have gone by I am starting to get negative and assume this won't happen, I don't have the weights I feel would make it a tight case etc. BLAH! This sucks... Sam P.S. Would anyone be willing to read my cover letter for me and let me know what you think?

Hi Sam, I'm sorry that you are having such a frustrating time. I would volunteer to read your cover page but I am pre-op and don't have a clue. Hope things get on track soon. Blessings Christine

Hi Sam You are now going thru the worst part of the WLS process.... Waiting for the Insurance Company. Remember if they do turn you down, appeal and appeal. Do not take no for an answer. I do not think it would do me any good to look over your cover letter, because every insurance company is so different. There may be others here on the board that have more experience in what your particular insurance carrier wants. Best wishes, and try to relax while you wait on a reply. I know that is easier said then done. Dan

just make sure your cover letter states the facts of how this surgery will improve your life..do not say how people stare at you or anything personal in this cover letter just state the facts what this surgery means to obesity....thats what i have always heard.... oh yeah everyone wants to drag their feet....why this is the fight for your life, and who better to fight it............
