18 days post opt

Hello Everyone.... I am now 18 days post opt. I have lost 31 lbs and I fell great about that. However, let me tell you how I am felling... I have had bad chest pains. Is this the gas they spoke of? I have called my Dr. and he called me in Carafate. It seems to help but yesterday I was in such pain that I cried. Other then this issue with the chest pain I have not had any problems. I even plain to return to work tomorrow. The problem I had yesterday was the pain was so bad it took all I had to walk. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.... Teresa

I dont think I would have settled for a called in script.. You have chest pains so bad you can't walk you make it into an emergancy room!! Chest pains can not be dignosed over the phone!!!! Your bodyis going thru so much right now... don't take it lightly.. Please take care!! Linda

Hi Teresa, This could be the gas from a lap procedure. If it returns, you should go to an ER so they can do an EKG and labwork to rule out a heart attack. Chest pain from gas can feel be extremely painful. If the medicine has resolved the pain, he was probably right. Your doctor has a very good reputation. Congratualtions on your weight loss! HUGS.
