MORNING.................I am off work till next thurs....yahoooooo gonna do some house work today since it is gonna rain...Ed works today and then off till weds morning....then i have a brother and his wife coming in from Littleton,Co for the race....uck, one thing i do not do from here, let alone gonna travel for it...now i have been to a couple of the NIGHT BEFORE parties on 16th....that was a number of years ago as well.... I sure pray and ask for prayers for my son.....this is one of the worst things i have ever had to go through.....drugs friggin suck....the more i learn about meth the more i hate them,,,,,i knew it was bad stuff...just never knew how bad till i started researching...his one friend said how when they were young they could not get him to drink a beer,, he has always been a very responsible kid...till this got ahold of him....always had a good job, money in his pocket and showered and changed clothes....whatever possessed him to ever do this the first time i have no idea...and his dad doing it with him...just about can not stand this feeling....and to know how hard it is gonna be to first get him to get off it and the hell he is going to go through getting off the crap.... this is about all i can even think about lately.....he is gonna end up one of 2 places.....at least i can go see him should it be behind bars....and ed says we already lost one son he does not want it to be another.....I need to go smack my son around some today...might make me feel better if nothing else...

My prayers are with you Angie, When they are little they step on our feet and when they are grown they step on our hearts... I am soo sick of rain! The few sunny days we have had make me feel sooo much warmer..I just chill when a rain drop hits me!! As for the race.. never been... once in high school I skipped a day and went to watch practice... actually partied all day... Linda

Good morning everyone! Where has my head been?? I didn't realize that THIS weekend was Memorial Day weekend until someone mentioned it being race weekend yesterday. That's when it dawned on me that I'll be off Monday. I have no idea what I'm going to do with that extra time?!? NOT go to the races anyway. Bill & I prefer small track. The east side had a small track (Indianapolis Speedrome) on Kitley avenue. We prefer going there. Angie...I know it's heartbreaking to see your child go through this crap with drugs. I pray that you have the strength to do what needs to be done in order to save him. Is he wanting to get clean? Darrah....Congrats on gettnig your car back. Don't you love it that even though you reported the car stollen, you had to pay an impound fee??? I think that is just totally messed up. I had a car stollen about 4 years ago. We went and filed a report with the auto-theft department. We found out that the department for car thefts were only there from Monday @8 AM till Friday @ 4 PM. If your car was stollen Friday evening to Sunday evening, the thiefs had a head start because you couldn't even report it as stollen until Monday morning. Myself, I think if the person reported thier car stollen, the impound fees should be waved. Nothing like making the victim pay, huh? I hope you all have a terrific day. Mine shouldn't e as hectic as yesterday was. Oh...have you all heard of SparkPeople.com? I discovered it last week & love it! Sherri

Hi all I hope everyone has a great day. Angie, I really feel for you and I hope things go ok with you getting your son to get clean from the meth. I work in a State prison and see a lot of people there due to drugs. I work at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle In. We have a meth unit there and it seems to do some of those guys some good. They have a lot of programs that they go through (that is if they want the help) and they graduate from those programs and it knocks some time off of their sentence. It seems like a really nice thing that they have done for the meth addicts that went to prison and decided that they did want help. Darrah glad you got your car back and hope you have a great time and the wedding and no more bad luck. I am getting ready to go to family doctor for yearly check up yuck. When I got on the scales this morning it said 220 down from 303 when I had surgery back on Dec 30. Kylie

Goo Morning All Kylie, you are looking great! Darrah hope the wedding goes off without a hitch. Linda and Sherri, relax and enjoy your weekend. Angie, I am sorry to hear that you are struggling with your son. I too have boys, one 19 and one 23. The 23 yo has been in trouble with drinking and drugs in the past and ended up in jail twice and has two felonies, due to theft (trying to get cash for drugs). The last time he was arrested was in a county where they dont let them out if they dont pay a bond. (indy usually lets them out in 24 hrs if they are dangerous) I refused to pay his bail and he had to stay in jail until he went to court 4 mos later. It just about killed both of us but he got his GED and straightened up. He got out and moved back home and that was in November. So far so good, he is working and playing in a band. He is still drug and alcohol free and hopefully he will stay that way. But if not I have done all I can do and thats all you can do. I know that it is hard but put him in the hands of the Lord and let the Lord deal with it, that's really all we can do anyway. Oh and remember it's not your fault, our kids make there own choices regardless of what we have taught them. Feel better, and enjoy your weekend. Blessings, Christine Who has been in all week with the flu and getting stir crazy!!!
