Need Help with Dr.
Hi Val, I miss seeing your posts so much on the main board. You must be working all the time. I was glad to hear that you had such a good time last weekend at the wedding and with your family.
I would love to recommend my Dr. for a revision. Dr. Huse from Indianapolis. he has an office in Carmel at the Clairian hospital but he does bariatric surgery at St. Vincents in Carmel. hope this link works its to his page on OH. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/bariatric+surgeon+profile+John+M+Huse+MD+jj.html
I love him. he is kinda quiet but very through and he is a pioneer in bariatrics in Indiana, read his cradentials on this page and im sure you will be impressed. He done an awsome job for me.
Good Luck Lady, Miss ya bunches, Carla
Val,
Dr. Rosemary Jones would be my first choice. Dr. Gupta is also terrific (she did my RNY & my revision). Dr. Innman, another terrific option.
I would start by checking out the stats on here. I know of one surgeon here in Indy that does very few by lap...if any. He did my dad's RNY...told him that it would be lap unless there was a reason to do open. It was open. In fact, every person that I know of who has had this surgeon was told the same thing. Aparently, he feels very uncomfortable doing lap...and doesn't know how to be honest with his patients about it.
Why do you need a revision? Where was your initial surgery done?
Good luck,
Sherri
Val, DR. Huse gets my vote too! I know we are all partial to the Dr. that we each had, however.....in my research, Dr. Huse had the most experience (26 years)and was truly the pioneer behind St. V's in the beginning. I talked to other surgery Doctors and was so impressed at what they had to say about Dr. Huse. He is a very calm, quiet man and has a warm sense of humor. When I talked with the staff at St. V's they told me that Dr. Huse is the Dr. they referred for revisions. Good Luck Sweetie!
HUGS!
