Sunday
Good morning everyone!
Thank you everyone for all your wonderful Birthday wishes! It really made my day!! Or I should say, my evening. I didn't get a chance to read them until we got home last night.
The wedding/reception was...LONG! The wedding took over an hour. I think there were 4-5 solo's, 3 prayers, a sermon (yes, a sermon!), and about 10 scripture readings. My butt was numb! Everyone was beautiful...but that was a little different too. The bride was in white and the groom & his guys were all with black tux's with silver vests. Now get this..the women were all in BLACK trimmed with silver. Beautiful dresses, but VERY different for a wedding!
The reception 'started' at 7...BUT food wasn't served till 9 pm. I was really wishing I had thrown a protein bar in my purse. I felt like I was starves..and ate my salad too quick I think so I had to ask for a continer to bring my food home (which I enjoyed about 11 last night). I think the older people enjoyed the music....older as in the ~70-90 yr old people. At one point Bill made the comment 'Oh, they are picking up the pace'....they were playing Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay!! Give you an idea of the music if THAT was 'picking up the pace'?? We danced 2 dances and during them, Bill's poor sence of perception made him think he was backing into people so he would push me with his belly to where I almost ran into people. I tried pushing back but that hurt my tummy! So...after 2 songs, I was done. Bill's mom said that she and her friend were going to take off so I thought that was a good time to do so too. By that time, it was 10:30. The presents hadn't been touched yet, the boquet & garter hadn't been thrown yet. I have no idea what time they finally got around to that.
I took a few pics of myself and posted them on Picture Trails (link on my profile). They didn't turn out too bad. All in all, I had a good birthday. Thank you, my friends, for helping to make it so good.
