Hi and thanks to each one of you for your concern and prayers. I had surgery on Tuesday; was in OR for 4 hours due to adhesions and a hernia as well as the RNY. Got back to my room about 2 and was up walking at 3. Got Dilaudid IV as I could only have ice chips and no oral medicines. The second day, the started clear liquids and I got liquid Lortab which is quite nasty! I asked them for pills the next time, and they gave them to me and I broke them in half and took 4 halves. I did fine with that but they make me feel like I am zoned out. Does help the pain and lasts much longer than the Dilaudid did. Walked 46 laps which was nearly 3 miles (total in about 30 hours, that is) and now have sore calf muscles but hopefully that is all it is, and not some clot forming. I got back on Monday to get my drain out. Again, it is so good to be home! Hugs, Jennie

I take the liquid Loratab but mix it with White grape juice.. really cuts the taste. A nurse at the hospital showed me how to do it.. Pills dont seem to absorb as well for me. Glad you did so well... once that darned drain tube comes out you will feel fantastic!! Happy Journey Linda

Jennie, Welcome to the losing side!! When I get my Loratab filled, I have the pharmacy (Walgreen's) put in flavoring. The grape isn't bad. I personally had to stay away from any juices, especially early out because I was very prone to getting ulcers. I still kinda shy away from them. Glad all went well & you're home!! Sherri
