Ok, so I have decided to stop procrastinating, and get this ball rolling. I am going to send in the packet to my insurance (aetna pos II) on Friday. I am going to send certified, and make copies of EVERYTHING. Any other suggestions? Pray, pray, pray, sleep, eat, work, pray pray pray. Thats goign to be my schedule for the next month or two. Any other advise would be appreicated. S.

I sent mine return receipt so I would know who signed for it when.. Good luck.. advice dont get bent out of shape for a few days of waiting... Good things come to those who wait.. Ane everyone normally has to wait a few weeks.. do something fun during the waiting time..clean your dresser or closet of things you will be donating to the next clothing exchange because you wont be needing them any more. Scott, Glad to see you're getting this done! I don't know what all your packet includes but with mine, I had sections..and tabs/title pages for each section. I had a section for physician/surgeon/psyche letters (also included a copy of the record the health center at work had kept from my physicals since my employment...so about 15 years worth at that time, one for pcp's notes on my supervised diet, one for all dieting attempts (papers filled out during seminar I think), one for a copy of my journal of diet/weight (Excel was great for this). I completed my packet by including a cover letter. This letter clarified anything that I felt needed to be. For me, this included the date I had quit smoking, the support meetings I had been to, etc. Depending on the insurance company, their work load, and even who it is that the insurance is through, can effect how quickly you may hear something. If you don't hear anything within 2 weeks of you receiving your notice from the post office that they had received your packet, give the insurance company a call & inquire how long it may take. Good luck! Sherri
