Question number one A personal one for the Ladies mostly

I have a couple of questions for you women of knowledge. The two biggest ones that have been on my mind lately. I'll start with the racey one. Since Sam posted about getting an IUD.... I have been thinking about this.... I used to have a very strong sex drive till I reached about 340lbs. Then it just went away and so did my periods. Ive hated what its done to my husband. Im hoping as I lose the weight it will come back??? Does anyone know if it does. Was it weight related or more psy...becouse I didnt feel good about myself. Not to mention positions became very difficult and it was so hard to breathe. Right now I cant even imagine needing and IUD. Its been 3 yrs now that Ive not had a sex drive at all. I feel dead inside. Has anyone felt any of this or am I just plum crazy???? Mariah

I have read on the Sex before and after weight loss surgery board most everyone's sex drive has come back and then some! Eric and I's sex life has kind of gone down hill since we moved in together over 2 years ago. I look at it this way. Right now I am an emotional/boredom eater. I would like to fill the void post weight loss surgery with sex ;) Sam P.S. We are total baby phobic so that's why we are going to IUD route. And we will still use condoms!

I hope my drive comes back... I told my boyfriend of 13 years that he best be ready. Since I will not be able to eat I do intend to, well you know.... You are not crazy when we do not feel good about yourself why do we want to take off our clothing in front of someone we love. My surgery date is tomorrow 5/17 and when the weight starts to drop I well come alive inside again. I can't wait...... Good luck Teresa

I am one month postop and down 44lbs. I can tell you that even with that small amount of loss, my husband has been very pleased with the amount of interest I have recently found in sex. Carmen

yeah your just plum crazy,,,,but thats ok we like ya anyway and why you fit in so well..LMAO...all in good fun...but me being OLDER than most i thought mine was more due to my age and menopause...but i guess it wasn't...........thats all i am gonna say

Mariah, I don't know about other but I can tell you my sex life is great since I had my Lapband done in March-2006 I have lost 57lbs and it makes a differents.My BMI was over 52 not now. And my age is 48 so maybe that will help you...I have 10 grandchildern.....And we take every other weekend for ourselves. Good luck dear. Kathy Lancaster
