Happy Mother's Day! My date of a new life is coming... Wednesday May 17th @ 10:30 a.m. at St Vincent Carmel. I will get my new beginning. I feel a little on the nervious side with a big smile. I have lots of emtions but I feel good with the major step I will be taken. I have tried so many other weight loss programs and have failed over and over again I pray that with this tool I will learn the correct way to eat and maintain life style of good health. Thanks everyone for your posting through your journey I have obtained so much information from you all. Thanks Teresa

Teresa, Deep breath.... 3 days pre-op..I was anxious, nervous, excited...all rolled into one. The day of my op, I was nice and calm and no one could believe my bp was that of someone ready to take the walk back to the OR table. So best advise I could ver give anyone 3 day is... Breathe deep. Exhale. All will be fine! Sherri

Teresa, Doctor Evanson is WONDERFUL!!! You're in great hands. You're feeling all the normal feelings and I'm so excited for the journey that you are on. Take it easy the first few weeks and you're gonna be amazed at how quickly you drop weight and how much food doesn't control you. Those are the two things that I noticed the quickest! There's lots of experience on this site and we're all here to help anytime you need it. Good Luck and we'll say an extra prayer for you! Mel

Teresa In just 3 days you will be on the losing side of life. Now would be a good time this next few days pre-op is to make you a TOP 10 List of the things you most want to be able to do after surgery that you cannot do now. I will keep you in my prayers for an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery. My favorite reminder is that before surgery I LIVED TO EAT while now I EAT TO LIVE. Dan

Well everyone else has summed it up pretty well. Just want to throw in congratulations and good luck. Mel is right. Dr. Evanson is awsome. I'm sure you haven't gotten to know him real well yet but you will not be disappointed. Before surgery the anesthesiologist and Dr. Evanson will come in to talk to you and answer any questions you have. They will put any fears to rest. I'm just 4 months out and it is the best thing I have ever done. Glab you'll be a loser with the the rest of us. Come back here often and update us on your success.
