Hi Sherri How long was the wait? It sounds like all three of them are great Dr.s, so I will just have to see what happens. I was also checking out Dr Gomez when I found Dr Jones, she has a great rep and so does Dr. Gomez. I'm just praying and waiting to see what the Lord has in store for me. Thanks again for the welcome and the encouragement. I am sure I will need a good kick in the pants on occasion so feel free! Blessings Christine

Christine, At that time, it was about 4-6 month wait on Dr. Jones, but only ~6 weeks for Dr. Gupta. I don't know what Dr. Caccuci's was. I have no idea what the waiting periods look like now. My seminar was with Dr. Jones My RNY, RNY revision, hernia repair, 2 perforations and 12 endo's (strictures & ucers) was with Dr. Gupta 3 of my endo's (strictures) was with Dr. Caccuci Dr. Jones dismissed me during my 2 hospital stays. That's a lot of stuff Sherri! I hope I don't have to go through all of that, but I see you still have a big smile and you look great so I guess you dont regret it. Thanks for the info. Christine

Me again Sherri, You said Dr Gupta did a revision on your RNY, did she do the original? I just wondered if she only revised ones she did or if she does revisions in general. Mine is just a staple and is 28 years, old God only knows whats going on in there now. hehehe. Ok I wont bug you again for a while. Maybe I will change my name is pesty :-) Christine

Pesky...er...Christine (jk), Dr. Gupta had done my RNY as well as my revision. I don't know what her standing is about doing someone else's revision but given that your stomach stapling is 28 years old, I would imagine that any surgeon who does revisions wouldn't have a problem doing yours. And no, no regrets. I've lost ~165 lbs, went from a size 26/28 to a 10/12 (so far), and am in better physical health than I have been my entire life (even with the minor problems going on right now). I feel great. How can one ever have any regrets that way? lol You're welcome to ask how ever many questions you'd like. There's not a 3 per person limit here!! Sherri

Christine, Welcome to the board and do throw out any questions, concerns, observations, etc. Someone here will have a response. I am one of the few men on the board that post fairly regularly. My wife and I have met so many wonderful people here. This board is really a part of our life now and I try to check in every morning. By the way I had my surgery with Dr Cacucci and really like her. I also had a scope done by Dr Gupta who I also realy like. I know I would be confortable have any of three of them operating on me. Dan

Thanks Dan. Good to hear that I can feel good with either of the Drs in that group. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. Blessings, Christine

Hi Christine. I have Medicare only too and I had my first seminar on April 6th with Dr. Gupta and my surgery is TOMORROW! So, there was virtually NO waiting for me and I am pleased. The folks here are wonderful so soak up all you can from their experiences! Blessings, Jennie aka OcutieObiggsie

Hey Jennie, How exciting! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow and for the next few days. I don't mind having Dr. Gupta as long as she does revisions. I am going to a seminar June 8th and then we will see. Did you have to pay a "down payment"? I wonder if they cover 80% or 100%? In the past they have covered my surgeries 100%. Thanks again for the encouragment. I cant wait to hear from you after surgery. Blessings and Hugs Christine
