I don't know about you all but I was disappointed with Fox's story about WLS. It's not a magic bullet (no kidding!) and if you don't change you bad habits, you'll regain. Jeeze...seems to me like I've tried to make both of those statements as recently as....let's see.... today! Guess I wouldn't be so disappointed but I stayed up just to see their story. OK. Enough whining. Time for Sherri to go beddie Bye... Nite-Nite Sherri

I agree, the segment wasn't very informative. I do have to say though Carol is at support group every week and is really working hard to maintain, she is a great inspiration not only to me but others who are attending our group!!! Way to go Carol, Keep up your great journey!!! Just wish there was more info on the segment for those of us out of wls and also the newbies, anyway nothing we can do about that now, but it was nice to see someone I knew and know that she has truly been going to the support groups and trying to use her new tool to its fullest potential! Have a great day, Dawn

Dawn, I didn't mean my comments to be against Carol...or against that surgeon as far as that goes. I think Fox should have tried to be sure that their story emcompassed a little more information for people. Carol may have followed up her statement that 'this surgery isn't a magic bullet' with an explanation. If so, Fox edited it out. If not, their reporter should have asked her 'why isn't it?' so that the audience would have been able to learn why she felt that way. I need to learn to qui****ching these little news clips. They always leave me so frustrated because they lead in like they are going to educate the public on WLS and then they don't. Sherri

I'm with ya. I stayed up just to see the story and was very disappointed. I mean, good for Carol, she was very honest, etc....but honestly for those of us who have had or are considering surgery it wasn't too informative. It would've been nice to maybe have the good and bad pointed out more for those that aren't very informed about the surgery (uh, some of my friends and family) just to get a good view. I don't know, just wasn't that impressive. Although I was very impressed with Carol's loss! She's done great and looks wonderful!

I also agree, I tried to stay up but couldn't do it. We recorded it on DVR and watched it tonight. I was left with the feeling "that's all you gotta say"??? I think the report was lame, not the people involved. But, the report was not informative at all. I honestly thought when I saw the previews about it there would be suggestions and help in order to keep the weight off.
