Just checking to say hello!
Hello Everyone,
I haven't been on in awhile, I'm back to working some 12 hour days again. Sucked back into the madness! Hope everyone is doing great. I'm right at 12 weeks, down 55 pounds. I know 55 loss is great, but I get this mental thing that I'm not doing as well as I should be. I know that everyone is different, but I've got such a long road ahead of me, still need to lose so much.
I'm gonna try to get on here more often, I miss everyone!
Take care,
Melissa
You are doing great. I just looked back at my calendar and at 12 wks I was only down 50 pounds. I'm at 16 wks now and just hit 65 pounds today. I'm happy with that. My goal was to be down 75 by my next Dr. apt on the 22nd. I doubt I'll make it but I should be darn close. I'd love for it to be coming off faster but when I look back and think about it 65 pounds in 16 wks is an average of 4 pounds a week. That is something I could never do before. Your average is almost 5 pounds a wee****ep up the good work.
Melissa, you're doing GREAT!!! I am going through the same feelings and I have to take a step back and look at it from an outside perspective. Sure I'd like to be down more, but hey, this is GREAT!!!!! And it's just gonna keep coming off. Slow and easy. They also say that less you have to lose the slower it comes off....and women tend to lose much slower than men. Just make sure that you're following all the rules, getting in your protiein and liquids, and exercising....if you're doing that then you're doing GREAT!!!!!! Keep it up. Start looking at some before pictures compared to now. Have you done measurements of yourself. Looking at those pictures is what keeps me going. On a daily basis I can't see the change, but looking at pictures, it's obvious!
Hey,
I missed the April support meeting. I'll make this month's. I'm 11 weeks post op and feeling GREAT!! I've shrunk through my closet. I was trying on clothes and fit into 38 pants! They were a bit tight and I wouldn't want to wear them all day. I haven't worn 38's since the 80's! I didn't buy them because I was wondering how long I would fit in them. Eventually I'll have to buy some new clothes.
I think you're doing great, too. The one thing that I've noticed is stamina. Everyone asks, "Do you have more energy?" I don't know about energy but I last longer now before I need to take a break. Last year when I mowed the grass I would take breaks. This year, I just mow til I'm done. Is that energy?
See you at a meeting
Rob
