Tuesday Night
Hi to All:
Just had to share my little victories, from this weekend. I am so happy. I was able to stand and do all of my dishes for the first time in a long time. I keep a chair in my kitchen because I did and sometimes still do have trouble standing for long periods of time, and on Sunday I got out and helped my husband mow our front yard and took a rake and sweeped 2 out of the 4 lots we have. I kinda over did it being in the sun but I loved every minute of it.
And yesterday I was in Indy and went by St Vincents and got on the scales and I have lost 62 lbs in 10 weeks and feeling better then I have in many years.
I have also just recently lowered my insulin intake again, I am now down by half of what I was the day I had my WLS surgery. I am praying that by Christmas I will be completely off of the insulin.
Guess I better get back to homework, if I am going to graduate this year.
Is anyone going to be at the Diabetes walk in Fort Wayne this weekend. Let me know. This is going to be my first big walk since my surgery, and my goal is the 3 miles.
I am hoping everyone had a blessed weekend and will have a blessed week to come.
Peggy
Glad to hear that everything is going great! I remember our first victory in our support group was -----crossing your legs------! Something you don't think about until that one day you are sitting in a chair and you happen to cross your legs without even thinking of it!
You look down and it is like WOW!
You have a blessed week as well Peggy!
