Chris, Can't help you up there, but did want to wish you good luck. I've lost 165 lbs, and am 40 to goal of 140. At 160, Dr. Turkle's group will be assisting me with that last 20 lbs. Since you are so close to goal, any suggestions to help get rid of those last lbs?? Sherri

Hi Sherry! Wow! You have done awesome!! 165 pounds is amazing!! Congratulations! The only sure fire way I know to keep those pounds falling off is protein, protein, protein! I'm sure you've been getting plenty of that in--I swear by it! Congrats on your amazing loss and I hope the last 40 melt off quickly!!! Christine

Christine, Thanks. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Had an airhead moment I think What are you getting in nutrient-wise? I typically walk 5-9 miles a day (although less lately with my sore foot). Here is what the nut has told me to do: Protein 80-100 g (60-80 g if I don't walk) Fat LT 30 g (VERY hard to keep this under 30!) Carbs MT 100 g Fiber MT 30 g Calories 1200-1400 (1000-1200 if I don't walk) Water At least 64 oz (I typically get in 96-128 oz water plus 72 oz decaf coffee..which counts as 'water' since it's decaf) Is that about in line with what you do (to keep losing)? The only thing that I have problems doing is keeping that fat under 30g. 4 oz of beef gets you pretty close to that so it doesn't take much to go over. I'm hypoglycemic so I have to watch how I get my carbs. Usually the bulk of them is from my FiberOne (which is also how I get my fiber). I have been at a stand-still for about 3 months. A few weeks ago, I had dropped down to 177 at one of my morning weigh-ins but the next day it was back to usual 180. If/When I'm off for surgery on my foot, I'll probably try to stick to the platau buster for at least 10 days that I'm recouping. Of course, then, I won't be getting my fiber and if I have beef, will probably go over on the fat. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!! Thanks, Sherri

Christine, I am @ goal, and have been working with THE CENTRE, P.C. @ Elkart. Am waiting for insurance approval and date. Dr. Viscardi is who I am dealing with. They come highly recommended from others who have had surgery there. Office # is 574-293-1511 if interested. I will let you know at a later date f/u on them. So far am very pleased. Connie
