Happy Cold Thursday Morning,
Nancy, merger on top of merger is fun, isn't it? NOT. I am sorry to hear about your stress break. As we get younger, it seems to happen more and more.
Sharon, enjoy those babies, they grow up to fast.
Crystal, it is so nice that your families will be going with you for your wedding. Even with the expenses, they are willing to see you two become one.
Co worker update, she has a broken collarbone, out of work for 6 to 8 weeks, I will be busy doing all the apps that come in. I had 12 on Tuesday, that is heavy for one person. But, that is ok. I am taking 2 days off in March, my boss will cover for one of them, and another co worker will do the other one alone. The time off has already been approved.
Today, I am staying in and doing some housework stuff. Besides, it is to cold to get bundled up to go out.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
Good Evening Everyone
He$$ must be freezing over because I am here It seems that no matter how good my intentions to get on here are, I keep running out of time before I am falling asleep and giving up and going to bed.
Last night, sleep won out again. I do read every day but just dont get the time to post.
Work has still been busier than all get out. I dont know where all the calls are coming from. I think that a lot of it is that we have lost so many people and they are refusing to hire any replacements. I dont know how long this scenario is going to last. My attitude lately is I know nothing, they tell me nothing, so if I cant answer your question, I am so sorry, but that is just how it is. We try to find answers to questions and no on has an answer. Office Depot is not providing the answers, if they have them they are not sharing them with Office Max and they are the ones making the decisions. So, there is nothing we can do about it. Now we have Staples to deal with as well. So, I just am prepared to come up with a different answer tomorrow. Our policies change on a daily basis and I have finally decided that there is no point stressing out over it, it is way beyond my control. So, it is what it is.
How is that for and attitude? I am finding myself just laughing at questions now because so many of them are impossible to answer. I care about our company but if those that run it do not care about how it is run then it is beyond my control and no matter what I do, nothing will change. So, that takes a lot of stress off of me.
Now, on the other hand, I still have my own life to deal with. I managed to get a stress fracture in my foot. I recognized the symptoms over the weekend then when I tried to get an appointment with my podiatrist and orthepodic surgeon on Monday, I found that both of them were on vacation this week. I went to my ortho's partner yesterday, and I am the proud owner of a lovely new boot for the next 6 weeks. If you have ever had the pleasure of wearing a boot, you know how much fun these are --- NOT!!
The cats are being wild this week. We keep thinking they have gotten into something. They are into everything. As usual Nibbles starts playtime and romper room time every night around 10 pm and then we have cat races through the house for the next 2 - 3 hours! Thunder cats on the loose!
Rick was sweet enough to go grocery shopping alone on Sunday and I only received 2 calls from him while he was at the store. I thought that was pretty good!
Friday, I have the day off and I sure am looking forward to a break.
Crystal, I am excited for you and your wedding. Your plans really look great! Also, I agree with you about the sleep number bed. My sister has one and I think they are awful! I love my temprapedic bed!
Sharon, enjoy your time with your grandbabies!
Lisa and Jason, keep warm!
Everyone have a great Thursday!
Cat Lady
Hello everyone
I am so tired today. I didn't sleep well again. That stupid bed. I hate it. Sharon if your hubby wants one...each to his own but for me I hate it. I am telling you I can't get comfortable. I never had this problem before. I have been sleeping on it for 2 months now and it's getting worse...blah. I hate it. I keep thinking there is some magic number I will hit that will make it all better...but not so far.
Oh well. In May I will have my bed back and all will be right with world again.
I have nothing going on today but work and errands and home stuff. I will be making oven fried chicken and veggies.
Well I have to go back to work my friends....have a good day...bye
Hi Peeps,
It's pull the can to the curb day and I must say, it was a bit brrrrrr.
My son in law is out of town starting today,so this week the other grandma and I have baby sitting duty in the evenings. Tonight is my night. Looking forward to those sweet babies.
I am finally pulling out of my very symptomatic response to the over-dose of gluten from Sunday. It is wild how food can effect us. Been finding new ways to invent things to eat and so far so good.
Hoping everyone is well and getting thru this cold safely.
Hugs,
Sharon
G wants to get one of those things......on a different note...It did take me about a month to get used to the pillow top mattress we have. Hugs
Hello everyone
We have packis here at work. Lucky for me I don't like them. I hate my donuts or pastries with cream or fruit filled. Sometimes it pays to be picky. I am sitting here with my yogurt and not the least bit tempted.
Tonight we are going to a church fundraiser for VBS. Oh I loved my VBS when I was a kid.
I am not liking this Sleep number bed. I can't believe people swear by these beds. It seems that no matter what I set this bed to I am uncomfortable. Not to the extreme...but enough. I miss my bed. And I don't complain...I don't want to be like that. Because he would go through the trouble of getting my bed out of storage and setting it up for me. I really don't want him to do all that.
Well back to the grind...have a wonderful day all.
Hi & good morning everyone,
Happy Pączki Day to you too! Cool. I'm part Polish. I can't remember the last time I had a Pączki, I might go get one today, not sure yet.
Sounds like all is good with you.
Not sure what I'll do for today, I guess I'll play it by ear. I do have some library books that I'll go over.
Well...I better get going. Have a great day everyone.
Stay warm
Jason.
No more some for a while. I think if Old Man Winter doesn't stop any time soon, I think it'll be Open Season on Old Man Winter.

Hiya Peeps,
Happy Paczki Day! I love paczkis. I grew up in a Polish neighborhood in Chicago and the pacski was a staple in our household. We had the custard filled ones and berry filled ones as treats on Fridays. Funny, but i cannot recall a recent Fat Tuesday in years that I have not been on a diet and could have a paczki. It just reminds me how long i have been battling this weight issue. Really would love to finally win this battle of the bulge.
Got a call last night my son in law is going out of town this week, so between me and the other Grandma we will be baby sitting all week. I will be with those babies every night this week except for Thursday since I work that day. Speaking of work, they say it's going to be frigid on Thursday. I guess I'll be selling a lot of hot chocolate and coffee again.
Still in a bit of a daze from eating that pasta Sunday. Hoping I feel better by tonight. Not sick, just a bit foggy. Been keeping a food diary and it is good to see what makes me itchy, gives me a head ache, gives me a brain fog etc. Gluten definitely is the brain fog culprit. But according to the book, after 6 months of not eating, your body heals itself and you may be able to reintroduce it in to your diet again.
Well, I am swimming today, going to the library and seeing the babies. Whats on your agenda? Any beads and wild dancing in the streets for any of you on this Fat Tuesday?????
Enjoy this day the Lord has given us.
Hugs!
Sharon
ps...its snowing.......
Other then Christine, who has plans for today?
Did not go. We had a phone call last night from a family member asking if he could stay with us on Thursday night so we are do the spiffy up things in the house. All those things you let go.

Hi Peeps,
It's a regular Monday for me, washing clothes, and putzing around the house. I have a meeting tonight and that's my day.
I am a bit dotty today. I got too much sleep and feel a bit foggy. I had about 1/2 cup of pasta yesterday(a big non-no on the Virgin Diet) and it effected me the way the book said it would......negatively. So check; right now I need to stay away from gluten. Back on program.
Yesterday was nice to see the babies and my brother and sister in law. They all made G feel special at his birthday celebration. We went to an Italian restuarant and I had sea bass. At first I thought they had made a mistake and given me chicken breast. It was my first venture into this type of fi**** was very bland and very expensive...note to self: stick with salmon next time.
The museums are free this month and I too want to visit one before the month is over. Trying to fit that in...smart to do it when school is out Christine.
Lisa, I have so much jewelry I dont wear anymore also. Styles change, but I think I changed. Speaking of changing...in my adult life I think I have worn like 4 fragrances total until recently. I wore Halston in the late 70's and then Beautiful for a couple years, Pheromone for the next 25 years.......well for the past year or so I have worn Light Blue by Dolce and Gabana. My daughter recently asked me to start wearing Beautiful again. So i got a bottle to keep around when I see her and wore it yesterday for her. I smelt like a hot hooker who needed a bath. It was terrible! I used to love that stuff....oh how we change. She was so happy, but i could not wait to come home and shower. This morning I smelled it on my pillow and gagged. The fragrance is the smae, but i changed.
Dawn, hooray for your year anniversary.
Crystal, it is nice that family will be with you to celebrate the wedding. Family is ultimately the best part of our lives. Now what are you wearing? It must be fabulous!
Hope everyone is doing something fun on this President's Day.
Hugs,
Sharon
