Hello everyone

I am feeling almost 100%.  I think by the end of the week I should feel fine.  I can't wait till this whole car thing is over with.  Ugh.  It puts me on edge.  Although, it shouldn't.  It's just waiting.  Waiting to see what I will get for my car.  Wanting to get this all taken care of before we go to Washington.

I said to Greg...this couldn't come at a worse time.  And his response was...when is a good time to get in a car accident.  LOL...I guess that is true.

Then part of me thought, of course this had to happen I was too happy.  But first of I can't think like that.  And second of all in the end it will all work out.  It always does.

Yesterday, we went to the place where they are keeping my car.  I had to empty it of all my stuff.  Poor car.  The nice and convenient part was they towed to a place about 4 blocks from where I work.  My boss, ironically was in accident on the same street about a month ago and they towed her car miles and miles away.  So it was nice that my car was right here.

Today I have some errands to run and Greg has to come with me...LOL.  I wonder how long this will last before he gets tired of that.  LOL.  But maybe not some guys like grocery shopping and such.

Christine thanks for all your tips and such.

Well back to work.  Have a nice chilly day.

Hi All,

Sorry I have been MIA, but I have been extreamly busy with our road trip. We did almost 1500 miles in the 6 days we were gone. Starting with St. Louis, and ending back in Streator on Sunday. We are getting to old for this .

We had fun, gambled a bit, ate to much, and decided we aren't going back to Tunica again. It has lost some of its apeal.

Crystal, Gregg is a good man. He shouldn't get mad at you for an accident. If anything, he should be mad at the idiot that caused it.

I see Dawn made it home. Where is Nancy?

Sharon, you are doing great.

I need to get to work, so I can get home and eat the corn beef that is already in the slow cooker.

Hugs,

Lisa

Weather wise we are in for a treat this week (most of it). It will be a refreshing change. I should clarify that it is going to be far nicer than -1+ below with a wind chill.

Off shortly to the pension builder AKA as work.

I found audio/offline bible apps for our tablets for when we travel and do not have WIFI which will happen on the cruise. They have WIFI on the boats but I will not pay for it. The audio sounds digitized but beggars can't be choosers. I also wanted a certain translation but could not find it for audio/offline. What I have will work.

What is going on in your neck of the woods?

Later gators

Hi Christine and Friends,

This weather is so delightful. I almost wore sandals yesterday. I think after the horrid Feb we had, anything that is remotely nice is welcomed. But it is way better than remotely nice today!

Saw the 2nd Exotic Marigold Hotel at the movies. The first one was better.

Yesterday,  G and i were out all day enjoying the day. My clothes are all getting big, so I am hoping I have clothes in the spare closet for spring time. I did buy a lovely top at Ross. Ross's prices are almost as good as Good Will. i cannot believe how low prices are there. But just like GW, you have to be patient and peruse tons of crap to find the treasure. Their home department is as nice as TJ Maxx.

Today is church and then we are babysitting the babies. G and I are truly excited about that. I am going to take my rain boots so we can take them to the park. It will probably be slushy with all the snow melted.

I have my last step study today after church. I will have completed my 7 month journey and all 12 steps. What an amazing gift i have given myself. I highly recommend this program for anyone. Everyone has something that is keeping them from being their best self.......anger, codependence, addictions like food...this celebrate recovery program has been amazing for me in my issues with food. The best part has been how when something is wrong between G and I, I now can now focus on myself and my part in it, instead of blaming him and being upset with him. It has helped my marriage in ways I never expected. The tools I have learned in this program are priceless. I can process my feelings in ways that do not become anger. Boy has that helped me in more ways than one.

Crystal, so glad you are ok and all you have are some bumps or bruises. It could have been so much worse.

Dawn and Lisa are rolling, rolling rolling.......enjoy!

Carla, enjoy that baby. Nancy, enjoy those fur babies.

Connie, I love going to concerts, it must be even better when you go to see someone you know.

Christine , Jason and everyone , enjoy this gorgeous weather and rest of the weekend.

Hugs,

Sharon

Crystal, first off I am happy that you are okay for the most part. BOOBOO's on the body will heal. Me thinks you might be hurting a little more in the next couple of days. Vehicle's can be replaced but not a human life.

Obtain a copy of the accident report. You might be able to get a copy of any tickets also. (If you cannot get copies of the tickets I can help you with state statute codes and what they mean.) You more than likely will need to pay for the report copy depending on the particular PD's report provision policy. State statute says that a PD can charge $5 if you pick it up in person/mail in request. Some agencies like mine offer an on line way to get a report but it costs the person - and it costs close to 200+% to obtain it. We have a convenience society that will pay for the (any) service.

Now, key things to keep in mind - did the officer write a ticket(s) to unit 1 (unit 1 is the most at fault driver in an accident)? Did the officer enter that there were injuries for an accident, was it a code "B" (obvious) or "C" (complaint of injury) for any injuries? If the officer wrote the tickets as an injury accident - other drivers then that ticket recipient MUST appear in court. A key thing to keep in mind is that there will be a court date for the ticket recipient and the witnesses NEED to appear in court. If you do not appear in court the judge will dismiss the ticket(s) because a witness/victim did not appear. IF it was a not a must appear ticket the recipient can plead guilty and pay for the ticket. Find out the county the accident was in and you can follow the Unit 1's court case on the Circuit Clerk's public website. If you opt to go to court even without being notified of a court date you can do so (it happens believe me). Just tell the prosecutor that you are there for a particular case . . . One of the things you first need to know is the name of the driver (should have been given to you with the exchange of driver info) so you can search for the info. If this confuses you then PM me and we will exchange phone numbers and then it is not so one sided.

Hello everyone

I had a bad luck Friday the 13th...I was in a car accident and my poor car was totaled.  Well it's not officially totaled by the insurance company yet but Greg and I are pretty sure they will total it.  The guy that hit me, hit the my rear tire so hard that he snapped the axle and spun me around and I hit a guy sitting at stop sign so hard his car pushed in the rear tire.  My car received the most damage.  It's a 7 year old car and I don't see them putting that kind of money to repair the whole rear axle and suspension and possibly the frame.  On the good side I am a tad bit sore and that's it.  My shoulder is sore to the touch like a bruise.  And hurts a little to move.  But nothing to bad...it feels like it does when I work out to much.  I was thinking that when I woke up this morning it was going to be really bad...but nope.  So I am lucky there.  I think the reason is I didn't see the guy coming at all.  I heard tires screeching and a split second later BANG.  I had no time to tense up.  The accident I had before that I was really sore...I saw it coming and I tighten up right before impact. I think that makes a world of difference.

I did have trouble sleeping last night just thinking about everything.  Worrying about how this going to impact our plans for future.  I didn't want to have to buy a new car for another 3 years.  But life has a way of happening.  The good thing is I don't have rush into anything.  Greg said I can take my time decide what kind of car I want and shop for the best deal.  Wait for the best time.  Like maybe after we get our house (we want to keep our debt to income ratio low).  He said he will take me to work in the mean time.  If I was single I would have to rush into buying a car.  At least I don't have to worry about that now.  And he has not shown any anger or meaness toward me.  He has been nothing but sweet and kind to me since the accident.  And rushed from work to be with me when it happened.

Anyway, in an effort not to let my muscles get all stiff.  I am going to go about my day as planned.  I am going to clean and do laundry and do groceries.  Then tonight we are going to the movies.  I am going to take things nice and slow don't get me wrong....I'm just not going to sit around a let my muscles get all stiff and I can't move.

So all and all I guess things could be worse.  But I am still upset my car is dead.  I loved my little car.

Have good good Saturday everyone.  see ya

Been looking forward to this day for several weeks

I have been going with my nieces and my sister when she was still alive to this retreat and it is such a great day of reflection and worship.

Back home tonight to relax and maybe order in a pizza.

What is happening in your world?

Hi there,

I've had a rather busy day today. Met a cousin I haven't seen in like 30 years. She has never met my daughter. We also took Vinnie. She was the belle of the table!!!

After that we took her to play at Old Orchard in the play area!!!

Tomorrow I'm going to Wisconsin to see a friend. Madison to be exact. On Tuesday I might come back to Chicago by way of Milwaukee and stop and see another of my cousins. I'll see.

I'm here till maybe the 21st.
