Hi Dear Ones,
Happy Spring! We survived another winter.
Got up early and got to my church to high dust and vaccum. I love putting on my ear phones and getting in and out.
Today, I am just cleaning up around here, but I am dying to get outside and clean up a little out front. My lillies have sprouted about an inch out of the dirt. I love this time of year. But I have so much to do inside, I doubt it will happen. I have a baby shower tomorrow at the club house at the golf course in our subdivision and I know people will probably drop by afterwards so I have to spruce up the place and get some food in here.
Crystal, Seattle is on my bucket list. G loves that city.
Christine, the Hotel Baker has been hard to get into since Jenny McCarthy got married there. My brother lives in St Charles and we like to stop in there for a drink and lately the place is always loaded.
Nancy, I am having all the Meows teeth done. Kyle has the worst breath and he always has. When i got him at 4 months old, his breath stank like nothing I have ever smelled. At that time the vet could find nothing wrong with him. He is now 5 and I am hoping the cleaning will help.
Lisa, I love Wendys chili and I think you can even go online and get the recipe. I seem to recall seeing that somewhere. Today is my cook for the week day and I am making 2 different soups to eat all week. It keeps me going.
Dawn, good for you that you got a job in a new field. It takes moxie to step out of your comfort zone and you have been doing that all year!
Connie, enjoyed your St Pats pic on FB.
Carla enjoy Vinnie.
Jason, where are you?
Well my dear peeps, I am off to get this day really started.
Hugs,
Sharon
Dawn,
You are my hero! A wonderful example of strength and determination to me and others.
Congrats on the new venture!!!!!!!!! I realized something about 2 months into my step study.....there is a new normal. Working in a stressful environment managing corporations and being so stressed that i couldnt be happy was the old normal. The new normal is making less money, a ton less. But seeing where it leads and embracing the here and now are stress free. It took 6 months for my husband to get on board. He still is trying to wrap his mind around who I am now professionally, which is; a gal working in food service. I dont know where i am going, but since I am focused on only today and God knows, that is all that counts.
Hugs Dear One,
Sharon
Happy First Day of Spring.
Yesterday, for lunch, I wanted to go to a local drive thur for either soup or chili. To my surprise, they have stopped serving both until late fall. I was nor happy to have to drive 2 miles each way to get to Wendy's. BTW, I love Wendy;s chili.
When I got home yesterday, my plan was to start cleaning. It didn't happen. I spent an hour with my neighbor, who I haven't seen in ages. It was a good thing.
So, today, I will have lots to do.
It is suppose to get into the 50's today, I will gladly love it.
Crystal, have a safe trip to see Amanda. You will love Seattle. I know I do.
I am off to play "Merry Maid".
We love Popeyes, even with the normal wait for a table.
Hugs,
Davey wants to get out of "Dodge" on Saturday. I wanted to go to Starved Rock, Baker Hotel or The Herrington but could not get in. So we opted for the Grand Geneva. It looks like it has great places to eat and also a lot of area to walk on the grounds. We will first spend time in Lake Geneva walking/window shopping and eat lunch at Popeye's (large fish restaurant on the lake). On the way home we will stop at my brother-in-law's an mooch off of them for Sunday din din.
Back to work.

PS - Crystal, I can give you a bunch of ideas on what to see in Seattle. We are spending almost 5 days there before our cruise in May. There is a lot to do.

Hi,
Dawn, I can't believe it has been a year. Congrats.
i want to start cleaning house this evening. At least get one room done. I see where I have a "new" tablecloth that I had forgotten about. I want to see if it fits my table. It is blue, so are my wine glasses, and my "good" china. I love setting a pretty table when we are having the family for dinner. I guess it goes back to childhood, and dinners at my grandmothers. Anne was from Russia, and always set a fancy table when family was around.
My gift to Hubert is good steaks and lobster, or shrimp. He will be 70 on Saturday. I am married to an old man!
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I got my payout information already from the insurance company. So quickly!!! And I got more than I expected. I will be picking up my check Saturday and putting the check in the bank. As soon as the check clears I will be looking for a car. Things worked out better and faster than I thought.
I just hope that uninsured guy leaves me alone now. Good riddance.
I am looking forward to seeing Amanda and sight seeing in Seattle. That will be a bunch of fun.
Yesterday I had Greg get rid of cake we had in the fridge since the weekend. I don't need the temptation. I have this rule...no goodies or junk food during the week!!! I will have a slice of cake or some ice cream but on the weekend. It's just my way of making sure I don't over indulge too often.
Dawn- congrats on your new job. I love Meijers. I wish there was one closer to me.
Well back to work...have a great day all.
