Hello Peeps,
Busy day and busy week..........wish I was better. This cough and headache just won't go! G got sick a week before me and he feels the same. Nasty virus.
i read recently there is a simple way to know if your gas tanks have enuf gas. To check the level of gas in your propane tank, bring a cup of water to a boil and pour it over the side of the tank. Now feel the tank and look for the point where the tank goes from feeling hot (empty) to cool (filled with propane). That's your propane level. I haven't tried this, but we are grilling steaks tonight so I'll give it a whirl.
Yep, I see more and more men wearing black wedding bands. Very sharp.
Well, I am off to get some vitamin D. The sun is shining for the first time today so I am going to go sit in it for a bit.

I am a diehard morning person - I take after my mom and dad.
We had a good week-end. Went twice to Willow Creek - South Barrington and then to Willow Chicago in the Loop. Afterwards we walked over to Pioneer Plaza and saw all the big, big football helmets that were on display.
Doc appt for me after work and then home to start putting out clothing to be packed.

Chris, Your Sunday sounds like you had a great one.
Yesterday, I did a lot of stuff outside. Then, I went to put the meat for dinner on the grill. and realized it wasn't hot. Hubert changed the tanks, ans the flame was so low it wasn't heating up either. Needless to say, both tanks were empty. I had asked him to weigh each one a couple of weeks ago. but apparently he didn't,
FYI, a filled 20# gas tank weighs 38#.
Today, I am hoping to finish another project, since it will be to wet to go outside.
How is your day shaping up?

We took the train down to Willow Creek Chicago today. It was not held at the Auditorium Theater as it was being transitioned out from the NFL draft pick. We met elsewhere. Afterwards we walked over to Pioneer Plaza (by the NBC tower and WGN) and saw all of the bigger than life football helmets. MY DOGS are BARKING right now from the walking. I need to go put my feet up.

Crystal, that is the new color for men's rings. Hubert still hasn't gone to replace the one I got him for Christmas. That one was to small.
Hello everyone
I am having a nice Saturday morning on my own. Greg had to do some IT stuff for a church. He is a whiz at computers. So much so that people hire him to do things for them. He is doing some internet networking stuff for a church. So I am relaxing a bit. When he gets home we are going out to eat and a few errands.
Including getting his finger sized. It's time to get his ring. He picked it out. It's a bit non-traditional but I told him it's his ring, he will be the wearing it. I want him to get what he wants. I guess I consider it non-traditional because it's black...not the normal gold or silver. He thought I wouldn't like it. I said it's not for me to like...just like my ring is for me. I got exactly what I wanted. I want him to get what he wants. Non-traditional or not.
I also want to do something outside. I don't know I haven't decided. Go walking somewhere. We shall see.

Good Morning on this first Saturday of May,
I seen Dr. Guskie yesterday. He was very happy with my labs. He did say I needed to get back to more protein, and to change my snacking habits. So, back to the basics for me.
On the other hand, I also seen my heart Dr. He was also impressed with the labs, other then he wants mr to add more B12 and cut the water pill .
A good visit with both.
We had a great visit with cousins at The Cheesecake Factory. It is so nice when we all get together. Lunch lasted over 2 hours. The only bad thing was after we lelf there, we stopped at Hobby Lobby, and while there, I noticed I had lost my Pandora bracelet. We called the Cheesecake Factory, and thank goodness it was there. Hubert said, well it is "just a bracelet", and I told him the "just a bracelet," was worth over $300.00. My other Pandora was worth more then that. He shut up after that. I was happy to get it back. Note to self. Get guard chains for them.

Just got off the phone with my vein specialist doc office and I was approved for 3 sclerotherapy session per leg for the life of my work insurance policy.
Uneventful day at work. Was not too busy so it was a day to do some learning for the FOIA Law. It is so extensive that one cannot really learn it in a short while.
Off to the club here shortly.

Hello everyone
I am so glad it's Friday. I am ready to relax a little tomorrow.
I lost another 2lbs this week. All I did was start working out, stop snacking in between meals, and replace my dinner sides with a salad. And BAM...I'm losing weight again. I never do any drastic diets or fad things. I am done with those. I don't do things I can't legitimately live with in the long term. Like giving up fast food and soda and sweets and sugary food during the week and eating organic whenever possible. Those are the changes I made a few years ago and I have been able to stick with them. I think eating a salad a day is good for me...I need more fiber.
I have to say I have been really forgetful this week. I forgot my breakfast one day, my meds another, and my phone today...Geesh!!! I need a checklist before I leave the house in the morning.
Today I am running to Walmart and that's it.
Sharon- I am sorry to hear about your job. I don't know what to tell you about people like that owner. Except when he dies he will be surrounded by all his beautiful things and we will have our family and friends. Who is really poor?
