Crystal, I am slowly emptying my house as we get ready to find a smaller place. I look forward to finding a small place that i can organize and make our own. As I clean it thoroughly for the next owner, I pray and ask God to give our big house to someone who will love it. Blessings on your new home. Hugs
Hi Peeps,
I have worked all week and I like it. I worked at the auction yesterday and made mucho tips. I just love that job. Fortunately, on Wednesday when I told the lawyer I had another job evry other Tuesday and every Thursday he was cool with it. I asked the office manager what my pay is and she told me the owner planned and on speaking with me.......still hasn't happened. I'll give it until the end of today.
G is going out of town for work, so I will be alone for a couple days next week. OK, I know it's weird, but this is the first time I will be alone all night since my dog passed in November. She always made me feel safe.
Tonight we have some dinner thing for charity and tomorrow G is working his consulting job so I will be footloose and fancy free. Sunday is church and we are taking a family pic after church, lunch and then taking G to the airport. That's my weekend.

We, too, have been looking for something smaller and if I could, I'd move to Berwyn. But G isnt a fan. It is super cheap, has Chicago water ( a must for me, I'm done buying bottled water and salt for a water softener anymore) and it is right next to the city. The downside: it is a changing neighborhood and some people are turned off by that. It is much cheaper than Oak Park (it's neighbor). 10 mins north there is a Trader Joes and Whole Foods. It has a city vibe as well as feeling like the burbs. I dont know if they have a lot of condos/apartments to rent, but I'd give it a holla. I am also looking into over 55 communities. G is not a fan of that either, but who know???? Good Luck! It will be nice to have you here more.......
Hello everyone
I am looking forward to having some projects but first I need to get the house on the inside in order and clean. Things are just yucky. It looks good at first sight. But when you really look close it's dirty dirty dirty!!! The base boards need washing. The kitchen cabinets need cleaning. Especially, the ones near the stove are all gunky and greasy. Things just need a deep cleaning. The place was closed up for awhile and there is dust every where.
Today I keep getting alerts on my phone that my password failed for my email. Well I wasn't trying to get into my email...which leaves the question who is trying to get into my email. So to make sure they don't keep trying and get it right. I changed it to something really weird. I am still wondering who is trying to hack into my email account. Really there is nothing interesting in there. All I get is advertisements for sales from all the places I have ordered from.

It is almost the weekend! what are you going to do? My world is going to be a quiet stay at home weekend. My plans depend on the weather. I asked Hubert if he would please start on the side yard walkway. The wood is piled into the middle of the driveway, so there is only rooom for one car. It is time, the wood has been there since last spring.
Crystal, FYI, having a home of your own, there is always some project to do.
I was hoping it would be nice today. I sprayed the driveway side of the yard with weed killer yesterday. I wanted to get the back done today, but it is to windy to do it.

Hello everyone
I am tired. I can't wait till we are settled and all is done.
I keep thinking of more things we need for the house. It's like a never ending list. When you go from an apartment to a house there are so many things you need. First off....everything for the outside. And just a bunch of little tiny things that add up. I wanted to make a list and just go to Menards and get everything at once....but we keep forgetting things or finding more things we need.
At least I'm eating healthy and I am being very active. So I am losing weight steadily. Here I was worried that I wasn't going to lose weight during this time.
Good luck to Carla on finding that studio apartment.

Crystal, I agree with you, moving is Hell. That is why we have been here since 1975. I shudder to think about packing up this house, and the 2 storage spaces we have.
I need to get outside and poison some weeds, but I hate doing it when it is so cold out. But, it has to get done. So, hopefully, I can get it done today, maybe when it warms up a bit.
I have given up the puzzle from H. I told Hubert last night, he said to leave it, and he will work on it. We shall see.
