Crystal, fake snakes will help with the birds. You can't really keep them out of your yard. They fly where they want. The noise box will only keep them away for a while. Remember, these are city birds. They are use to humans and noise.

Rocks are another matter. A lot of work to get rid of them, it will happen, but not in one day. Use a shovel and just do a little at a time.

Try mothballs, its a cheap way to get rid of them bunnies. You can also call an animal exterminator

I am on a hunt for a can of white paint to finish the shed door. I kknow I have some, but I cant find it. Next step, to the hardware store I go.

Hello everyone

Well I am now having trouble finding a hair salon in Lake Tahoe that has open appointments on the day of the wedding.  I shouldn't have waited so long to make an appointment.  Oh well.  If I can't find anything I will do my own hair and save money.  I just thought it would be nice to go have my hair washed and styled before the wedding

I am looking up how to scare away birds from your yard.  They are just pooping all over the patio, patio furniture, front porch.  It's obnoxious.  They are saying to put predator decoys out and it will scare them away.  They have this noise box that will make noise and scare them away.  There is all these weird things.  And I still have a family of bunnies under my porch to contend with.  I was told mothballs will get rid of them.

Another complaint I have is the owners before us (there were 2).  The first one put down rocks...instead of mulch.  The second put down mulch.  It's now this weird combination of both.  I don't like it.  I'm not sure how I would even go about getting rid of all that rock.  It might be something I will do eventually.

Today I am making grilled buffalo chicken strips.  It's my healthy answer to buffalo wings.  After work I have to get gas and go to Walmart.  I am going to work out in the yard a bit.  I really need to sort out that rock/mulch situation.  The rock is in the mulch and visa/versa.  If I have to live this for awhile, I at least want it separated.  I also need to spray more weed killer in the cracks of the paver brick.  The weeds love it there.

Well back to work all.  Enjoy your Wednesday.

Good Morning,

Welcome home Christine and Dave. The pictures you posted were beautiful. It makes me want to go back, but our next cruise is from N.Y. to Nova Scotia, in June of next year.

I will be leaving for Minn. on the 12th. The only bad thing is there is no phone service or internet. No TV either.

I started painting the shed door yesterday. I did the red part then. this morning I want to finish the white part. Little by little the back yard is coming together.

What is going on in your world?

Huggers,

Lisa

Crystal be very careful from ordering a dress from a place that u give your measurements and pick a style. It wasn't from Bye Bye Something? My daughter did that from the Internet for her wedding  dress and it was Terrible???!!!! The lace was discolored and had grease on it. And it didn't fit. She sent it back in a plastic bag. Wouldn't fit back in the packaging it came in. It came from China! I had to fight to get the pYment back. Thank goodness I had American Express.

Buyer beware!!!

Anyway I'm still in Chicago. My kids are almost done miving. I'm on Vinnie patrol.

I'm here till June 13th. Then I'm going home to rest for a couple of months. I'm going to Denver for most of August.

My kids moved to Skokie. They used to live in Logan Sq.

so my drove will be a bit farthur.

But I won't have to put up with city traffic.

Hello everyone

Well I got a dress. Funny thing is Lisa you kind of led me to the website where I found it.  I was looking up the store you mentioned and had trouble finding it.  So I started clicking on the websites that came up.  I found a website that had beautiful dresses for cheap and you can give them your measurements and they will tailor the dress for you.  So I did it.  Now I have to wait about a month for it.  I hate waiting.

Yesterday I was out in the front garden for the first time pulling up the weeds I killed and taking a good look at the bush there.  After I cleaned out the dead leaves from last Fall, garbage and dead branches...it looks so skinny...I don't know if that's the word.  It does not look like a full bush anymore.  Well it wasn't before but there was that illusion because of the dead leave and what not.  I was wondering if fertilizing and watering will fill out the bush.

I need to plant and mulch and keeps raining.  Ugh.

Well today I will get out there and do more clean up.  It looks bad...to me.

Time to get back to work.  See you all later.

, I finally got back to finish painting the tables yesterday. Also was able to scrape the shed door. It looked terrible. I am going to get it painted today. I also want to get the deck cleared off. I am planning a bbq for Father's day, but I will be gone most of next week. I am heading to Minn. with my girls.

It looks like it will be a nice sunny day. I hope so.

Hugs,

Lisa

I think this is going to be a wasted day. It has been raining since I got up, so another day I am unable to finish the painting of the tables on the deck. Oh well, I will find something to do. I am not good a****ching tv all day like Hubert can do.

We went to a new to us place for dinner last night. It is called Gunsmoke Grill in Cedar Point, Il. about 17 miles from us. Appetizers, Burgers, Steak sandwiches, and drinks. I enjoyed it, so did all of our group. It is another place for us. BTW, we ate outside, it was a great night to do so.

I seen a new craft idem yesterday that I am going to try. It's a wreath made of flip-flops and ribbon. I am thinking about it for the front door for the summer. I may even make one to take to Minn. for a gift in a couple of weeks.

Bratburgers and potatoe salad for supper tonight. Hopefully I can grill them outside, but if not, no problem.

Have a good if wet day,

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

My Saturday is starting out relaxing.  Although, I did vacuum and dust.

I still haven't bought a dress for the wedding and people are really starting to get on my butt about.  Including Greg.  When your fiance starts nagging you about getting a dress it's time to get a dress.  So considering it's a destination wedding on a beach and then we will go out to eat.  I will literally wear the dress for a couple of hours and a total of maybe 6 people will see me.  Greg said he had $1000 budgeted for my dress....and I almost choked.  That is wayyyyy more than I planned on spending.  I was considering buying a dress from consignment website.  They have beautiful dresses.  Greg was less than OK with the idea of me buying a used dress.  I say...big freaken deal.  I can get a gorgeous dress for less than $300.  I don't feel like I am losing out at all.  What do you guys think???  Do you think it's weird?  I would take the dress to tailor if needed.  It would still be cheaper.

Here's the twoI am thinking about getting.  I think it's great for a beach wedding.  It looks light weight so I won't get hot.  Only thing is I am worried I will look fat in it.  I know I know.  I should be happy with the way I look...but I wish I could look as good as the ladies in the picture...LOL.  Don't know which one....both are Alfred Angelo so sizing is the same for both

Alfred Angelo 1614 6 5

Alfred Angelo 2000NT

Anyway.  I took my measurements and I am pretty sure I will fit in the size 14 they have.  I may need to have a little taken in and since I will be wearing basic sandals, the length will be ok.  They have it listed as 5'8 with shoes.  So 5'9 in flats should be good.

So by the end of the weekend I need to just make a decision.  What do guys think?

Well got to go.  Have a good weekend
